Spacious room, with all essentials, in a cute cozy street and walking distance from beach and city.
Pros:

Great family. The place was so quiet - just what you need to sometimes get away from the city centre. It was walking distance from city centre, beach and restaurant.

Cons:

Amenities could include more like shower gel and shampoo. The Wifi was not working at certain times of the day. Although cellular data of Dialog worked well in this particular area

Pros:

I enjoyed my week long stay that I even stayed longer. It’s located just off the Main Street so there’s no traffic noises. Just peace and tranquility
The family is very welcoming and the offers of coconuts is much appreciated
You’ll see monkeys in the morning which is quite nice

Super schöner Aufenthalt mit herzlicher Familie
Pros:

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in der kleinen Unterkunft sehr genossen. Die Familie war soooo herzlich und hat uns direkt ein sehr heimeliges Gefühl gegeben. Es war sehr authentisch bei der Familie zmorge zu essen und einfach zu quatschten und mit dem kleinen Sohn zu spielen. Alles war sauber, es gab ein Mückennetz und sogar warmes Wasser.

Cons:

Nichts!! Es war ein traumhafter Aufenthalt.

Pros:

Great location, close to everything but far enough away from the road to be really quiet at night. You can walk to lots of surf spots or cafes/bars. Good ac.

Cons:

The internet was not the best, but they tried to fix it. The room is also very dark.

Pros:

the family who owns this property are so lovely and sweet, they gave us a welcome drink and also breakfast on our last morning. be aware that there is a AC and NON AC room- which gets very very hot which has unfortunately also meant there is quite a lot of mould in the room and bathroom. location is perfect, 30 seconds to the Main Street. wifi here would be great. A good value place to stay in Ahangama.

we loved everything about royal villa:) thank you for the beautiful time!
Pros:

a beautiful little homestay, run by a lovely family!
they were so so sweet and treated us to sri lanken coffee one morning and fresh coconut from the tree the other morning:)
the room was just like the description and super clean - also the bathroom super clean!
the location is amazing with a 10min walk to the train station, food and supermarkets very close…
can only recommend staying here!!!

Pros:

The location was perfect and I had what i needed. The hosts also gave me some water and were really friendly, plus the area was really quite and really in the center and not even 5min from the bus stop.
