Location was good
Room was small and noisy.
If you're looking very basic accommodation that's clean and moderately comfortable for a trip where you're going to be out and about the majority of the time, then this hotel was a decent base. It's a good location, and easy walk to all the main sights with lots of pubs, cafes and shops (boots, sainsburys etc.) very nearby. The air conditioning was good too
However, I wouldn't recommend as anything beyond a sleeping base. If you're visiting Oxford for a special occasion, like a graduation or wedding I wouldn't recommend for a few reasons. Firstly there's no hanging space for any full length garmets. The shower pressure is very low and also has no storage shelves for an items you might and isn't big enough to bend down to pick up a razor, shampoo etc with bumping your head on the wall or screen (even for an average height woman) so if you want wash your hair or shave you'll struggle. We also didn't receive any housekeeping despite putting the sign out in good time (well before the 1pm deadline). By the time we returned after a day out, there was no one reception to request fresh towels, toilet paper or coffee from so this was frustrating. We'd also arranged for late check out in the morning, and despite having the do not disturb sign on the door and confirming reception, we had someone banging on the door 45 mins before checkout time which was unsettling when you're getting changed. We would have raised some of these concerns upon check out, but we weren't asked how our stay was or offered any help with booking a taxi etc. which was disappointing. Based on the other reviews and photos it seems as if we may have just been unlucky with our room (001) as others appear much more spacious. All in all I wouldn't recommend, I feel the price point is too high for the basicness of the accomodation, and even as a purely 'functional' accomodation some of the basic functional standards of the room fell well below expectations.
The staff (two people) were really helpful and accessible.
The A/C was hard to operate. It seemed to switch off on its own accord, and I was either too warm or freezing cold. The fan was situated directly above the bed, so it blew down on me when I was trying to sleep.
The staff extremely friendly and helpful. Check-in easy. Newly refurbished, clean and tidy. Comfy beds for a good night sleep
There was no access to ice. That was my only issue.

The curtain was broken when we arrived and only fixed on the last day; information regarding room cleaning was unclear (they don't clean unless you hang up the sign, but we hadn't been told this at check-in). One window was stuck, and the other opened only 10 cm, so it was impossible to air out the room. There is no lounge; it is more of an apartment-style residence than a hotel.
La habitación estaba muy limpia, era bonita y nueva. Además, tuvimos la sensación de que estaba bien insonorizada porque no escuchamos prácticamente ruidos. La cama era súper cómoda y destaco el olor de las sábanas. Quizás sea una tontería, pero agradezco mucho cuando en un hotel las sábanas y las toallas huelen a limpio. Por último, el personal que trabaja allí es muy amable y son muy agradables al trato.

Good value for money. Located a comfortable 10 minute walk from the centre. Family room larger than average. Convenient and clean.
Curtains were hard to pull. Could do with some blinds or something for privacy as the room was opposite a pub. Air con made a noise whilst off. But the location was quiet at night at apart from that.
