For a very pleasant stay in Udaipur , book this delicious hotel dominating the lakes .
Pros:

First Class hotel on top of Ambavgarh hill .
Professional manager , helping staff , nice garden ( even with a pond and red fish !) , good breakfast , excellent restaurant at affordable price .
Do not hesitate and book, just go up there .

limited option of breakfast, Indian Breakfast available, taste fine, nice masala tea. Very near to most of sightseeing points, top on hill, quiet place, rooftop has a great lake view and nice ambience. Manager Karan Ji & Kishan bhai are all supportive, we loved our 2nd stay.

The exterior of the room looked nice, but the overall experience was very disappointing. The bathroom was in very poor condition, the food was bad, and the location felt extremely unsafe—especially for women. When we returned at 10:30 PM, the road was completely dark and deserted, which was very uncomfortable. Totally not recommended

Cons:

This place is a scam. I booked it only because of the photos shown on Booking.com, but those pictures are completely fake and misleading. The actual condition is nothing like what’s shown online. Bathroom was filthy and the location is downright unsafe. When we came back at 10:30 PM the road was pitch dark and deserted – very risky for females. Don’t waste your money here, it’s a total fraud and absolutely not recommended

Breakfast was nice!

Cons:

Everything was so dirty!!! Toilet water was leaking out on floor, dirty bed clothing, disgusting! Everything was missing… toilet paper, towels, hair dryer. I am ok with old furniture until it do its function but this was not doing it. A bit noisy because there is roof top restaurant until night and also guest from restro took all places for parking and so for hotel guests there is no space and street is so steep and norrow… we were really above to touch anything in there.

Stay at Ambavgarh Palace Heritage Homestay! The property exudes old-world charm with its beautiful architecture, intricate Rajasthani decor, and a peaceful ambiance that makes you feel like royalty.

The rooms were spacious, well-maintained, and offered stunning views from Rooftop Restaurant of Udaipur.

The hospitality was exceptional – the staff was courteous, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The homestay is ideally located, making it easy to explore nearby attractions like City Palace, Lake Pichola, and the vibrant markets.
