Thee place to stay in Las Penitas! We had the pleasure of spending 3 nights in the ocean view suite. The owners, a couple from Spain, have put much attention to detail into their establishment. The room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The pool, covered by a canopy of beautiful palm trees, was kept pristine, and was a great spot to lounge and cool off during the day. The adjoining dining area was tastefully decorated while good music played, creating a nice vibe. The traditional breakfast every morning was delicious. We got massages here, and they were fantastic. The hotel is located just a short walk across the way to the beach. Their 2 dogs, Lola and Bimbo, and 3 cats were all so sweet. The entire staff is kind and helpful, and made us feel at home during our entire stay. Much thanks to owner Catalina for being so kind and for setting up our ride to Granada. It was a pleasure meeting you and a pleasure staying at your beautiful hotel. If ever back to Las Penitas, we will definitely be staying at Nuevo Nayal.

Nuevo Nayal is a delightful seaside lodge. The hostess/owner, a Spaniard who speaks pefect English could not have been any more welcoming and facilitative, who loves her role and loves her guests. The staff couldn't be more pleasant. Meals at the hotel, from the daily breakfasts to items on the menu (their hamburger, heaping with carmelized onions, bacon and other garnishes is so good I had it twice- the first time with a (large) attractive, creative salad). The covered outdoor eating area is quite inviting, comfortable and a welcoming gathering place for its international and Nicarguan guests. The pool at the lodge, which is in itself quite beautiful and sparkling blue, is covered with an umbrella of palm trees, making it an especially cool and refreshing place. For me it was a highlight of the hotel.
The property is very close to a spectacular seaside lookout, next to colourful, fairytale kind of park with an ornate fountain, and which hosts a popular (decent and reasonable) retaurant and bar that boasts its own pool. People from the neighbourhood, from Leon and from around the world gather there to watch the spectacular Pacific sunsets and enjoy eachother's company (especially on weekends - during the week it it very laid back). The long, sandy beach at Las Peñitas boasts a number of quite good restaurants.

Loved everything about the property. It’s so beautiful here and is the perfect place to relax & unwind. It’s very spacious, lots of areas to hang out and the restaurant was amazing with delicious, huge meals everytime. The room was great, lots of room & very comfortable. The staff and owners were all so lovely, helpful & accomodating.

Catalina est vraiment gentille, nous avons adoré séjourner au Nuevo Nayal. La plage est direct de l’autre côté de la rue.
Les hamacs juste vraiment confortable, la nourriture très bonne. Franchement je recommande!!

Super nette kamers, fijne bedden en buiten het traditionele eten hebben ze ook Spaans eten, zoals 4 soorten paella! Aanraders de eigenaar is ook Spaans. Must do!

Es handelt sich um ein Boutique Hotel mit vier Zimmern. Super sauber. Tolle Ausstattung mit Hängematten und einem tollen Pool. Das Frühstück ist köstlich. Alle Fragen werden vollständig und zuvorkommend beantwortet. Der Flughafen Shuttle Service wird vom Hotel organisiert und ist ebenfalls top. Das Restaurant ist ebenfalls top.
Fazit: ein herausragendes Hotel.

Location was easy to find, and the pictures of the property were in fact accurate.
