Hotel is poorly managed.
Pros:

They're rooms are really not up to standard for a hotel

Their breakfast was poor, no cereal whatsoever.

No dstv in

The Crown Hotel Ladysmith
Pros:

Nothing as there was nothing to like

Cons:

The rooms where not ready for occupation as I had to call the front desk to have them put toilet paper.,towels, soaps and coffee into both the rooms.
The windows ceils was not cleaned for sometime. The carpets are dirty.
I had to run water for a while before the hot water came through.
All the lights go out at 7pm there is no staff available for enquires or complaints
I was called at 07h30 to tell me the dinning room is too cold so they would rather prefer as to have breakfast in our rooms I agreed
My order was taken but not the food I ordered was delivered to the rooms
There was no space for the food had to alter the coffee station on the dressing table
The water for the coffee had to be boiled at our head board as there is no plug points at the coffee station
I paid R2650 for 2 rooms is not worth a penny of what was spent.
I will not revisit or recommend this hotel to anybody. Thank you

Pros:

There was nothing to like about the place.

Cons:

The room had an odour, the bathroom smelly and not well maintained . The bed had strands of hair. The room walls were damp, the paint has bubbles due to the damp rise.
There was no hair dryer and only one bath towel for 2 people.

Pros:

It was the worst stay I have ever had .two towels in bathroom .I had to use one as a bath mat . Dirty carpets .noisy neighbour's. No security on windows. I hardly slept and will never return . Did not even dare to try the breakfast . Very noisy .I needed a good nights rest before a busy work day - drove 3 hours and was totally dissatisfied...you need to change your rating of the hotel and the cost .not worth what I paid 😌 I am actually feeling like I need a refund or I won't trust booking.com

It was ok
Pros:

I liked everything except the dirty carpets, I they are old and dirty, rooms need new painting especially the ceilings, breakfast was good but there was no variety, eg there was yogurt but with whole fruits, no baked cakes ,scones or pastry.

Cons:

TV was playing adverts instead of channels.

Pros:

I really loved the privacy that I received,not being bothered. as I am an introvert, I'm not a fan of interaction especially if they're strangers. But I love that they respect your privacy.
I also love how clean and well everything was set up,truly welcoming. The almost sound proof walls and peace were an extra for a peaceful night, really makes you not want to leave.

Cons:

Well the receptionist could be more welcoming and not so grumpy and dull. But I appreciate that he does his job well.
