Nice but not worth the money
Pros:

Good location, comfortable bed.

Cons:

Very weird set up of a room, the eaves element really stunts it’s usefulness. Between the potential of scraping your skin on the open brick of the weird set up small shower space, the broken velux blind & bathroom light that doesn’t turn off so you can’t get proper darkness, the tiny sink, and the bed with no side table n having to create a trip hazard to charge things, its not really worth the money charged.

Challenging
Pros:

Hosts were very nice, and pleasant

Cons:

The stairs leading to the top room were incredibly narrow, the shower was almost impossible to use as I’m quite tall and kept banging my head on the bare brick wall. The room was ok but again it sloped in because it’s basically a loft conversion which meant I had to bend down to get to certain parts of it. Not the best I’ve stayed in for sure but not the worst.

Happy stay
Pros:

Perfect for my requirements. Very clean and comfortable. Shared kitchen well equipped. Parking a short walk. Great communication. Would definately stay again.

Amazing hosts and we will be back
Pros:

Location was brilliant, nice and peaceful the hosts were really lovely asking about my day and what plans I had, they took an interest in what we were doing and even helped us find the best way of travelling there. We were made to feel welcome, comfortable and coudnt ask for much more. Thank you for having us and we look forward to visiting again in the future

Great stay and good value
Pros:

Great value, clean and tidy. Very comfortable bed. Well
Located for events held at Windsor Racecource. Great clear communication from owners. Hosts were extremely hospitable hosts that we spent some time with.

Cons:

Quite a steep staircase up to top room that may be difficult for frail and infirm people.

good enough for a short cheap stay as long as you know you need an uber to Windsor centre
Pros:

We were up in the loft. The room was clean and bed comfortable but stairs very narrow.

Cons:

the fridge has lots of old food in it. The kitchen is full of stuff. The garden cannot be used.

Our greeting was a bit strange - we didn't really get one or a welcome. We weren't introduced....I presume the couple who we met were the owners??

The 'Castle View' ha ha...yes there is a view of the castle if I stood on my tiptoes, strained my neck to the right and squinted!

The blind needed repairing

Cons:

We didnt end up staying here and booked into the travel lodge. When we arrived there were 5 males in the kitchen highly intoxicated. It wasnt explained the facilities are shared and the owner would actually be staying there with his friends. We felt very vulnerable.
The room was at the top of 2 flights of stairs. I doubt the stairs would pass health and safety. They are steep and narrow with no landing space before the door. The room had no floor space no head room. There was 3 of us. A double bed and for the third person was a mattress on the floor. The lock on the door was flimsy and didn't feel secure.
Avoid at all costs!

If you have the time and want to relax in a quiet place for a few days this is it!
Pros:

The owners, Alana and Karl were fantastic! We ended up having a BBQ in their yard the last night. Wonderful hosts. There was a TesconExpress and a Waitross within a few minutes walk to get anything you may need.

Cons:

All great at 17 Oak Lane. Just if you do not have transport you have to take a bus to get to the Castle, small price to pay for a genuinely good experience.

Very pleasant hosts, very clean and a great overall stay
Pros:

Very friendly and helpful people. Ease of access to the property. Good location for Windsor.

Cons:

Upper flight of stairs a bit tricky to negotiate but hey, they’ve done a great job of creating a living space in the upper area of a house.
