Kaskazi Hotel Zanzibar

Wow, Kaskazi exceeded all my expectations, and then some. Sara and her team are beyond exceptional, we were so sad to leave.

Food was really great, room was super comfy and large, especially the bathroom with a great bath. Loved the hammock and upstairs daybed.

Ocean is amazing, I loved the tides. Massage at the spa was top tier. Whatever else we needed, was supplied without delay. Loved the decor for our intimate romantic dinner. Food portions are huge. Drinks were amazing. Cannot wait to go back.
I’ll be practicing more Swahili for my return!
All the staff, from the Masai (love them!) to the waiters to the barmen to the chefs to the managers, were all incredibly kind, friendly, competent, well spoken and amazing. Feels like I made friends. Just wow!

Absolutely the best hotel experience we've ever had. We cannot recommend this hotel enough. We knew from the booking details that this would be more of a luxurious hotel compared to our other bookings in Zanzibar, but we were completely blown away by the hospitality and professionalism of the staff, and the beauty and luxury of the resort. We don't have a single complaint. This is a true bargain, we've been to five star hotels that cannot compare to the service at Kaskazi. The whole resort seem very fresh and newly renovated. The rooms were always incredibly clean. Nice gym. The food was immaculate and beautiful seating areas. The staff were the nicest service staff we've ever met, they made you feel like family without being invasive. Also the hotel has a beach with almost zero other people which felt very exclusive. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Kaskazi for the amazing experience. We are 100% coming back next year!

Great location and a beautiful new property. The hotel is thoughtfully designed with lovely boho-chic vibes. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay.

Le personnel est très professionnel, aux petits soins, ouvert à la discussion sans être envahissant. L'équipe semble réellement heureuse de travailler et cela se ressent. Les installations elles que les 2 piscines avec les transats et matelas sont incroyables. Le buffet est renouvelé tous les jours avec des saveurs de tous horizons.

Pequeno-almoço excelente, com muita variedade. Serviço de Buffet ao jantar excelente também. O menú à La Carte para as horas de almoço muito apelativo, bom tamanho das doses que inclusive dá para partilhar. A Limpeza de todo o espaço excelente. Os colaboradores são espetaculares, sempre disponíveis. O Peter e o Hassan são dois líderes natos, que conseguem ter a equipa sempre motivada para o dia-a-dia.

Our stay was absolutely beautiful, we went to celebrate our honeymoon and we couldn’t have picked a better place. The staff were so welcoming (Husna greeted us in and took great care of us), kind, hospitable, helpful and ensured our stay was incredibly special- they surprised us with a lovely honeymoon bed decor, a drink (which was originally alcohol but once we explained we don’t drink they kindly gave us a non alcoholic alternative) and so many freshly cut fruit! Food was delicious, we loved that everyday was a different buffet and we really appreciated how much love the chefs put into making the meals. On the days we didn’t want to eat at the restaurant, the staff were more than happy for us to take our food to our rooms and if any mosquitos got in, housekeeping would come straight away to spray down our rooms.

We stayed in a suite with a private pool, rooftop terrace and also a spa bath. The suite was immaculate, we loved the tropical aesthetic, it really put us into holiday mode and the views were stunning- We woke up everyday to a beautiful sunrise.

The resort also had access to the beach which was so convenient, and it was a beautiful beach, super serene, not crowded at all, we had the beach to ourselves most days and it was lovely to unwind there and explore the low tides. There was also entertained after dinner which was lovely, and so many great photo opportunities!

Overall, we had a wonderful stay, it was truly the best hotel out of all the places we stayed in on the island. And we plan to return when we visit Zanzibar again!!!
