The hospitality was better, and the location offered convenient access to Upper Diyaluma Falls.
This is the very first time we paid tax more than the room charge.
We were disappointed with that and believe this is unreasonable. We would appreciate more transparency and fairness in the pricing structure.
Beautiful, comfortable hotel. Clean and in a good shape. Great view and perfect location for visiting the walterfalls. You should be at the falls quite early or late afternoon as otherwise there are many people. That is why, this location is so perfect.
The host is very friendly. Nice breakfast (included), nice dinner. Best place to relax, calm, in middle of Forrest with monkeys all around. This is the best place we have been so far. If you want relax instead of pubs and bars is much better than Ella.

Das Frühstück war lecker, frisch zubereitet und völlig ausreichend.
Die Ausstattung im Zimmer ist sehr einfach, was bei dem Preis aber auch nicht anders zu erwarten war. Es gab keine Klimaanlage, dafür aber Ventilatoren.
We really liked staying here in order to have less stress with seeing the Diyaluma Falls! The Family is very kind and we felt really lucky to have picked this hotel, because it is right at the starting point of the trail to the falls (20 minutes by foot:) We can definitely recommend planning a stay there before/after going to Ella. The food is also very good and the view is simply breathtaking!
Nothing, we love everything
The exceptional staying exceeding all our expectations. Firstly, the hospitality our hosts- entire family. The real help and warmness we've received during our staying. It is skyhigh even by Sri Lanka standards. Secondly, the hotel is very close to the waterfall. We could depart very early and return in early evening. Our recommendation is that you book at least 3 days in Dilshan Hotel so that you can enjoy the waterfall and calmness of this location for some more time. Don't plan only one day here as on one day the waterfall may receive more visitors. We had 2 very fine days and one day with a crowd. Thirdly, the room and room was great. All very good value for money!

Imanilka, the owner’s wife, is exceptional. Very sweet and amazing cooking skills, and she adapts to any schedule and request you make. Their lovely son Sam is the star of the place :)
The bathroom was infested with ants everywhere. They actually went all the way to the room window.
The room window gives to a dark alley with a wall. The fan is extremely noisy and is below the light, which means that you get immediate headache from the flickering light. The room has no kettle, no desk, no wardrobe.
Friendly Staffel and Super Location.
The location is just a short walk to the amazing beauty of natural pools of Diyaluma waterfalls. Watching the sunset there is one of our core memories in Sri Lanka. The accommodation is more on the simple side, but what makes up for it is Imantika (pardon the spelling:)) and her family. They are the definition of kindness and their hospitality is something that we haven’t encountered anywhere else. Thank you for having us and wish you many more satisfied customers. The location was beautiful, so close to the Diyaluma falls and tucked away in amongst nature. The food was all delicious and the staff all very friendly and helpful!!
Great location next to the path leading up to the top of the Diyaluma falls. Great host. Do. We and breakfast were both great.
Could do with new pillows and bed linen.
Very good accommodation in a good location for exploring the waterfall. Owner very nice. Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were also good. Can definitely recommend it and would come again.
Amantika was a great hostess, we had a wonderful time at the guesthouse
Be aware of the very high city tax the guesthouse charges. This makes the stay almost twice as expensive as advertised.
Tipical village house exact on the way to the waterfall.Very kind family , in the restaurant they prepare exeptional curry. Dont miss this place if you decide to stay and enjoy the waterfall
