Ok
Pros:

The staff are really friendly and it is an excellent location, very central and easy to walk everywhere.

Cons:

The room needed a bit of an update! The mini fridge no longer worked, and sugar ants were everywhere. make sure you ask for a bin and toilet paper too.

Ventilateur de plafond qui fonctionne très bien
Localisation incroyable, en plein centre ville
Un des gérants parle bien français

Possibilité de prolonger la réservation pour attendre nos bus de nuit, moyennant un supplément (pour nous 6 dollars, cela nous a semblé raisonnable et nous n'avons pas cherché à négocier)

Cons:

Des petites incompréhensions avec les gérants de l'hôtel. Par exemple, ils ont proposé un service de tuk-tuk gratuit de la station de bus à l'hôtel (10 min), mais nous l'avons attendu en vain, le tuk-tuk n'est jamais venu. C'était agaçant après un bus de nuit assez chaotique de devoir arbitrer sur si on attendait ou si on en commandait un nous-même, de peur d'avoir fait déplacer / déranger quelqu'un pour "rien".
Hôtel vieillissant mais en cours de rénovation
Douche à eau froide (mais ça ne nous a pas dérangé)
Salle de bain qui n'avait pas de papier toilette et de sac poubelle. Ils nous en ont fourni sans problème quand nous sommes allés leur en demander

Pros:

Staff friendly. Room good size. Bed comfortable.
Lots of surfaces to put stuff on. Shower effective

Cons:

Fridge faulty. TV not work.
Buolders doing major refurbishment on first floor. I was on second floor.
Work began at 8.45 am..Then lots of banging last 2 days during day.
No lift was a problem especially at end of the day.

Für 10 $ gab es ein großes, sauberes zentrumsnahes Zimmer. Wenn du keinen Luxus brauchst, gehe ins Royal Hotel. TIP: wenn Ihr ein Tuk Tuk für Ausflüge braucht, fragt nach Rich! Toller Typ, hat Ahnung und ist absolut fair. Es gab tagsüber Renovierungsarbeiten, war aber völlig ok, wird halt in der Nebensaison gemacht.

A eviter, vraiment HORS D’ÂGE!
Pros:

- l’emplacement est la seule chose de Royal ici!
- Leur Rooftop est agréable au coucher du soleil même si le restaurant qui s’y trouve est totalement HS, il reste de quoi se poser, des tables, des hamacs!

Cons:

- Franchement c’est pas « vieillot » comme le disent certains commentaires, c’est vraiment hors d’âge! Mais tout : les meubles, les rideaux et sa tringle des années 80, le mobilier… et même une télé cathodique! Et le problème c’est que ce n’est pas très bien entretenu donc l’état est catastrophique !
Côté propreté, le sol était vraiment sale, les meubles tranpirent la poussière et les rideaux je n’en parle même pas!
Très mauvais rapport qualité/prix, c’est un hotel qui devrait couter 10$ la nuit pas plus, l’état est catastrophique et à ce prix là c’est clairement du vol!

Pros:

Centrally located and close to bus office and places to eat. Staff were very friendly. Good bathroom. Good thick curtains.

Cons:

Hotel is a bit run down (we stayed in the off season which probably made this more apparent). View from room was of the back of ugly neighbouring buildings.

Battambang is a lovely city with lovely people.
Pros:

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They supplied an electric kettle and cup when I asked for them and then took me to where I could buy teabags.

Cons:

I would like to be able to leave the aircon on so that the room is cool on my return.
