This is not a place for those seeking a luxurious retreat, but rather for those who want a genuinely rustic and peaceful experience. The owners, Aram and Sana, were wonderful, as were the staff, Jamal and Lahcen. Be sure to let Jamal guide you in the mountains if you enjoy exploring. I preferred eating home-cooked meals at the guesthouse rather than dining at the busy, colorful restaurants by the river in Setti Fatma. A lush garden lies right in front of the house, and there is plenty of space for parking. Very good value for money.
Great location with amazing views. Authentic atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Was a bit cold to sleep as the night temperature was low. Didn’t get hot water in the morning, just in the afternoon.
The staff was really helpful and kind. We made some hikes that were close by and enjoyed the nature. The locals in general were really friendly. We avoided Siti Fadma due to the load of tourists and stayed more in the direct area of the riad and the mountains.
The blue color of our room made it quite dark, in addition the lamps had cold light and the window didn't bring much natural light. But the area in the ground level of the house was comfortable, so you can also hang out there.
Absolutely wonderful!
I came to the mountains for 3 nights of regeneration and to see the waterfalls and I left feeling so rested and peaceful. The people here are really, really lovely and helpful in such a considerate way.
The breakfasts are excellent to set you up for the day and my tagine was the best i've had in Morocco ~ delicious!
The prices for accommodation (I had a double room with balcony and gorgeous mountain views) and food were unbeatable. I would say the hotel looked like a traditional chateau! Everything was clean and nicely decorated. Chilly at night as expected for time of year but big, heavy blankets were in the room to stay warm. I fell asleep at night listening to the river and woke in the morning to the girls (chickens). Pretty idyllic!
I was also lucky to be taken to the waterfall with Lehsen as a private guide, also brilliant value and good company :-)
The accommodation is fairly remote (hence why so peaceful) but taxi's are easy from the hub of Ourika and it is a picturesque stroll into the local village for supplies, touristy shops and to have food/drink at the colourful cafes dotted along the river. Also to access the waterfalls. This is predominantly a Berber community and there are handmade products to buy if you wish. Everyone was friendly and a welcome respite from the hard selling in main cities.
I am a solo female traveller and this is one of the places I have felt safest on my travels.
I also left my passport in the room and Lehsen organised for it to be brought to me in Marrakech in no time at all which I am additionally grateful for.
I honestly recommend coming to this place and I am very thankful for my experience here! Shokrun :-)
Nothing, I loved my rest here.
Beautiful view over the garden and very nice and clean room.
The bed was not very comfortable, really hard.
