Comfortable, great people working there, well located and great quality for that price

We loved Dar Suncial! Starting with the host, Adil, great guy. So kind and helpful. Then the kind lady that served us breakfast, really kind and polite.
The room was really good, comfortable, I can recommend to everyone! Also the location is fantastic, close to heart of the city and other locations.

Black mould, poor hygiene, and misleading photos
Pros:

The breakfast was acceptable and probably the only positive part of the stay.

Cons:

The photos on the listing are misleading and do not reflect the current condition of the property. They appear to show the riad when it was newer or in a much better state than it is now.

The room itself was extremely dirty and in very poor condition. There was black mould on the walls and ceiling, including behind the bed and in multiple areas of the room. This was not a small patch, there was a significant amount of visible mould, which is a serious health concern and should not be present in guest accommodation.

Cleanliness and hygiene were also very worrying. The floors and surfaces were dirty and did not appear to have been properly cleaned. In the morning we saw bed sheets and towels being stripped from rooms and simply hung outside to air rather than being properly washed. The towels smelled musty and the bedding did not feel freshly cleaned, which raised serious concerns about whether they were being properly laundered between guests.

There was also a major issue with the water supply. When taking a shower in the morning, the water completely cut off after only a couple of minutes, both the shower and the sink tap stopped working. This happened while we were in the shower with shampoo in our hair, leaving us unable to rinse properly. We had to wait around 20–30 minutes for the water to return.

When we contacted the owner about this, we did not receive a response until several hours later. We were told it was due to water pressure not reaching the top floor, which is not a reasonable explanation for guests being left without water while using the shower.

Overall, the combination of black mould, poor hygiene, misleading photos, and unreliable water supply made the stay extremely disappointing and uncomfortable even for just the one night!

Avoid this place.

Habitaciones muy grandes y nuevas
Pros:

El desayuno muy bueno,la chica muy amable,las habitaciones muy muy limpias y muy amplias,hemos estado en 5 riad en Marrakech y para nosotros este fue el más cómodo y limpio.

La terraza muy pequeña y muy empinada para subir..

Pros:

Bez problemu mogliśmy zostawić małe plecaki przed zameldowaniem chociaż pani mówiła tylko po arabsku ale bez problemu dogadaliśmy sie przez translator. Pokoje skromne ale to w końcu hostel, jest gdzie spać w czystej pościeli i gdzie sie umyć. Właściciel uprzejmy, bez problemu zgodzi sie nam zrobić śniadanie na wynos ponieważ mieliśmy wczesnie rano wycieczkę. Do głównego placu spacerkiem jakieś 15 minut. Bez problemu trafiliśmy z google maps.

Nie było noc takiego 😁

Pros:

The bed was very comfy and the staff very friendly and nice. The acommodation is placed in an area that is central yet a bit isolated from the centrical chaos

Cons:

furniture is a bit old and crackly, and we had an issue with the shower, water pressure was minimal and hot water would run out quickly. It was a cold weak and we missed a hot shower.

L’accueil était très chaleureux, la chambre correspondait aux photos et était très agréable, le riad était calme. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la terrasse et les petits déjeuner copieux.

Pros:

Amazing location. Closed yo the medina.
Comfotable and clean bed, however our room floor and bathroom hasnt cleaned.
Nice breakfast n coffee, same everyday no varierty.
Warm n frirndly staff, helpful.

Cons:

Not clean floor in the room & bathroom
They dont come to take the bathroom bin, if u stay more then one day.
When you take shower on use sink then pressure is mit strong.
Also water stops when many people use to shower do not good.
No door in the bathroom only curtain which i think is downside.
