My stay at the Golden Bazaar Hotel suite with my parents was a disappointing experience from the moment I walked in. The staff were unwelcoming and unprofessional, creating a poor first impression. When we entered the suite, which was advertised for three people with a twin bed, a double bed, and a sofa bed, we instead found only a double bed and a cheap metal rollaway bed with an extremely hard, uncomfortable mattress—there was no proper twin bed or sofa bed, just a standard sofa. This was not what I had paid for, and I would never have booked a room for three if I had known this was the actual setup. The manager was particularly unhelpful and impolite, refusing to acknowledge the issue or offer a refund. Although he briefly suggested moving me to a separate twin room while my parents stayed in the suite, he then insisted I pay an additional €30 per night, which was completely unacceptable given that the problem was caused by false advertising. After avoiding further discussion, he simply arranged for the mattress to be replaced after I had already endured a sleepless night; although the replacement was slightly thicker, it remained uncomfortable and detracted from the suite experience. On top of that, basic amenities were lacking—for three guests, only one toilet roll was provided, and when I requested another, the staff questioned why I needed it. To make matters worse, the hotel was advertised as three-star on Booking, yet the entrance clearly displayed it as a two-star property. I would also like to add that I have now noticed that on your website, the same suite is currently listed as accommodating a maximum of two adults, which is different from when I made my booking. I felt misled throughout the entire stay. I remained only because I had no alternative at the time, but I intend to raise this issue with Booking and pursue a refund, as the overall experience was unacceptable and far from what was promised.
