Island Home

Great amenities and excellent hosts! Room was comfortable and clean and the house was very nice. A nice quiet place away from the downtown was perfect for me but also close enough to get to when you need to. The hosts assist with airport pickup , tours and much more. I feel like I have a new family in the solomon islands. But you also have youe privacy here if you dont want to make friends with them. I was glad I did though. Highly recommend this place if you are coming to honiaira!

This is undoubtedly the best place to stay in Honiara. JR and Jen are excellent hosts and made my whole trip to Solomon Islands so much better. Guadalcanal tours are great and JR really helped me out when I sprained my ankle on Savo Island by picking me up from the port and driving me between numerous medical facilities to get X-Ray, buy medicine etc. There may be more upmarket places to stay in Honiara, but nowhere as good as this.

We loved everything about this place. It is in a lovely neighbourhood location, you can walk or public bus up to it from the main markets. They have a hot shower, a full kitchen (much needed as food in restaurants can be expensive), a laundry machine you can use for free and ample seating and eating areas. The Wifi is also great. We worked remotely here for a bit. Jen and Junior are particularly wonderful and full of great advice and care. Jen arranged our trip to Savo Island through a contact which made the boat trip much less expensive. I will miss my wee coffee spot in the morning overlooking the lush forest!

Delightful family. Room is adequate but basic. A solid 2km walk or taxi ride to town.

This has to be one of the most welcoming places we've ever stayed and we left feeling more like friends than guests. Jhen and JR are truly lovely hosts, great communicators and go way beyond what might be expected to make your stay comfortable. Their tours are fantastic and their advice is welcome and spot-in. They were happy to give us rides into town when they were going and even gave us lifts to restaurants. We've never been anywhere where hosts seem as interested in you and your experience, and they are more than happy to share their well informed opinions and advice on Honiara and the wider Solomons. I cannot recommend this place enough!
