This has to be one of the most welcoming places we've ever stayed and we left feeling more like friends than guests. Jhen and JR are truly lovely hosts, great communicators and go way beyond what might be expected to make your stay comfortable. Their tours are fantastic and their advice is welcome and spot-in. They were happy to give us rides into town when they were going and even gave us lifts to restaurants. We've never been anywhere where hosts seem as interested in you and your experience, and they are more than happy to share their well informed opinions and advice on Honiara and the wider Solomons. I cannot recommend this place enough!

A tranquil, tropical garden setting with distant views overlooking the lush valley from the deck of my rustic unit.
Unit was self-contained and equipped to meet needs with hospitable hosts, Jan & Jr, accommodating personal requirements & preferences.
Comfortable bed and ambient lounge room with colourful decor & cultural artefacts. Lovely staff member, Priscilla, ensured cleanliness and comfort, too.
An unexpected bonus was a freshly, home-made jar of pickled cucumbers generously presented by Jan!
Hosts personally facilitated access to the spectacular, not-to-be-missed Tenaru Falls with the trek to, swim at and trek out a highlight of my Solomons adventures!

Se trata de una guesthouse muy bien ubicada para visitar Honiara. El dueño es muy amable y me dio varias recomendaciones al llegar. Todo muy limpio. Muy buenas vistas desde la terraza. La cama era muy cómoda lo que facilito mi descanso. Muy recomendable

Island Home is a wonderful accommodation. The rooms were great, the service is excellent, and the price is the best in town. Jr and Jannette are amazing hosts! They also offer nice excursions (snorkeling, hiking, etc.) for a very fair price. If you have something specific you would like to do in Honiara they will help you in any way they can. The value you get far exceeds the price. The property is beautiful and much more quiet than the places in the main town. If you like talking with people there are usually other guests from all over the world. This is the only place I will stay at while I am in Honiara!

It is the cheapest budget accommodation I could find in Honiara. Decent place and very simple (don’t expect hotel like quality, it’s basically like a home stay). My bungalow was a two bdrm I shared with someone else; has a kitchen and shared toilet/shower. Nice to have a washing machine. JR and his family are very nice. They provided airport transfer to/from for a fee. Small local shack like stands nearby selling basic stuff (not a proper market though). Good budget value for a short stay in busy dusty Honiara.

Het was een gezellige en knusse accommodatie. Alles zat erbij. Je kon zelf koken en zelfs een was draaien. De bedden zijn ook erg goed. En zelfs een warme douche met goede straal.

Ze regelen ook je transfers en kunnen ook tours met je doen. Zo kun je bv. the Eastern of Western Battlefield tour doen via hun.
Je kunt in 20 minuten heuvel af naar de markt lopen in het centrum van Honiara.

De mensen zijn superlief en attent. Ik was mijn earbuds vergeten en ze hebben er alles aan gedaan om mij te helpen om ze terug te krijgen. Zo lief.

Echt een aanrader en voor en eerlijke prijs.

The hosts were amazing they were like family I treasured their knowledge and their hospitality and they made my long stay their very memorable. Will be a trip I will remember my whole life.

Very nice room and amenities all around, warm water and towels provided, good kitchen. Just Bring earplugs as it can get loud in this area at night at weekends.
