Expectations largely exceeded
Pros:

Great place to set your base for touring this interesting (and largely unknown) area in Mehedinti, Romania. Specially if you have your own car and are careful to your budget. The best quality/ price ratio I could ever imagine; but no compromise on cleanness and Covid measures. Also a genuine customer oriented attitude by all staff encountered (deserves full 5 stars!). Set menus perfectly acceptable, cooked with taste. Extras (like drinks, coffee) are available at prices that will make you sorry leaving the hotel! The room allocated to us was rather compact but completely equipped with facilities like A/C, minifridge, massive wood furniture, etc.; we were offered even bathrobes. A thermal water spa is available on the premises but was not checked by me.
If you got bored by the more "traditional" spas and resorts in Romania (nothing wrong with these either...), give a try to this unknown corner and its surroundings. Set your pretentions in accordance to the price paid and you are probably not going to be disappointed. To Ceres team, thanks and keep going like this! (Note that are many Ceres hotels in Romania but located in different spa resorts).
