Falta de limpieza y olor a tabaco
Pros:

La ubicación y el desayuno incluido

Cons:

Entramos a la habitación y en la pared del baño había pelo pegado sin limpiar. Lo reportamos al personal y solicitamos la limpieza para el día siguiente, pero al volver al hotel por la tarde habían cambiado sábanas y toallas pero los pelos seguían ahí. Tuvo que venir una empleada de recepción a quitarlos, y solo nos ofrecieron disculpas y unas galletas (no podían cambiarnos de habitación porque estaban completos). Aparte la habitación olía muchísimo a tabaco, era como dormir en un cenicero. Puedo comprender que un hotel tenga más o menos comfort, ya que el precio era menor que otros hoteles, pero la limpieza no es negociable. Lo siento.

Wonderful experience
Pros:

The reception area of the hotel is exceptionally. The people are wonderful, friendly and helpful. The extra amenities of breakfast, cocktail hour, and picking your own pillow were truly spectacular. I would definitely stay again.

Excellent Location. Sake happy hour and breakfast (both are free).
Good value for money.

Cons:

Rooms are small with no space for the suitcases.
The bathroom capsule is not comfortable at all (feels like a bathroom in a yacht).

I enjoyed my stay and will stay again
Pros:

Breakfast, location and cleanliness was great. Room was small but efficient.

Cons:

Not enough room for my bag in the room. Maybe more hooks or even a baggage stand that I could choose to use (even though it is pretty cramped). Check In was kind of weird in that they sat me down and went over the rules, but I guess it did prepare me for some differences in how this hotel operates.

Very good value stay in a great location in Kyoto.
Pros:

The room was very clean and comfortable, I like that guest are able to choose their own pillow. The laundry facilities were helpful and the provided detergent smelled very nice. The breakfast was nice, nothing special but it was good.

Cons:

The bathroom was a little cramped, I do not recommend if you are tall, I am only 5’9” and it wasn’t the most comfortable. None of the rooms have a view the all have frosted windows.

You can't beat the location of this hotel! It is perfectly located close to restaurants, shopping, trains and buses. The free drinks from 6-8pm is a nice thing to offer - I was able to sample some sake as well as socialize with other travellers during this time. They make you feel welcome upon your arrival, and take their time to explain everything to you.
