We got the keys out of the key safe on arrival and made our way to our room which was lovely. We went out for the evening and when we arrived back at 10.55pm, we were locked out. The top key to the outside was working, but the bottom lock had had the dead lock put on from the inside, so we were locked out. Our car keys were in the room so we wouldn't have even been able to sleep in the car. I rang the phone No for the place but obviously no one there as its self service. I just happened to see someone still in the Indian restaurant adjoining the hotel. I knocked on the window but they just ignored us thinking it was someone messing about. I googled their number and they eventually answered the phone. I explained the situation and they came and opened the door. They told us that they lock it when their restaurant shuts at 10.30, but surely they shouldn't be putting the dead lock on. We got up to our room which was on the back and 2 minutes later we saw the staff of the restaurant going out the back gates and locking up, so 5 minutes later we would have totally been locked out. We were supposed to be stopping another night, but this put us off and we left the next morning. We saw the housekeeping lady on the way out, and explained what had happened and she said she arrived sometimes and the dead lock has been on. I told one of the owners who was working in the cafe/ shop at the back and he didnt seem on but bothered.

There is a bar next level down but only open Friday and Saturday we stayed Tuesday. The aroma of spices from downstairs Indian restaurant in the room

Nothing really really loved it if I had 1 thing it would be that 1 of the windows the latch was broken so it wouldn't close but apart from that it is a lovely place I will be coming back
