Nothing positive to say. Absolute horror. No staff, no restaurant or activities “because they’re closed in tuesdays” how do you CLOSE a hotel every Tuesday when people are actively staying there? Couldn’t even be in the pool because if was being “cleaned”. How about clean it during the night when people are sleeping? Not for a full working day? Very thin walls so you could hear everything the neighbours were saying.
Upon arrival you may think “this looks nice”, but this changes very quickly. You check in with a rude receptionist who speaks no English, fine, but she also sighs and is reluctant when you ask to put the information in a translation app. We had to pay a deposit of 3k pesos, alright, but then you’re just given the key and “goodbye”. No one shows you the facilities, no help to the rooms, no elevator either so we had to carry all bags up and down the stairs. Walked around the facilities, a little tentative like “can i be here?” Absolute ghost town. Found some sad dirty horses that no one seemed to take care of, from what I could see they had zero turn out either in any kind of paddock (would have asked if they had staff! But again, ghost town). Yoga and a bunch of other things was advertised but.. no one to book with. Went to the restaurant and ordered some guacamole for the pool, requested some juice as well. Was told no, that’s breakfast only. Ok that’s fair, when’s breakfast tomorrow? “No breakfast. We’re closed” closed??? All day? “Yes” come to find it the restaurant itself also closed at 6 pm, which of course no one told ut about either. We decided to find some dinner of our own but was advised not to leave the premises at all due to how dangerous the area is. Great, sure, but now we’ll have no dinner and no breakfast. Staff doesn’t care. In the morning all guests had the same panic and ordered taxis to the city centre, and the receptionist decided to put several rooms in the same taxis even though we had separate destinations, very strange and confusing for all. This was the one thing reception decided to translate for us “this room is coming with you in the car”, what? As the guy arrived he looked at us like we were crazy and went the other way. Very reasonable. All in all absolute nightmare, I’m well traveled and have never been to a worse place in my life. $5/night hostels from my teenage years had better service.
recepcionista pesima actitud
On paper it's a nice looking hotel, pet friendly and with a balcony
We had a terrible experience at the hotel which forced us to abort our stay, driving back home the same day instead of spending the night there. The hotel was hosting a wedding and did not care the least for other guests: the noise was unbearable, the restaurant closed at 7.30 pm, half the property was closed off. We were not notified that there would be a wedding and were traveling with a baby. Needless to say, it was impossible to spend the night there with no food, no pack and play (which we had requested), and blasting music. The staff did not do anything to ease our concerns. Oh and important thing to note too: the hotel is supposedly pet friendly but they charge you extra (which is not advertised on Booking.com) and it's for pets under 10 kgs. They make you sign a super restrictive waiver when they let their own dogs run free on the property. I do not recommend this hotel for 1) lack of transparency on events impacting your stay + on pet policy 2) poor customer service aka no pack and play while it had been confirmed prior to our stay
Gardens
Staff was unfriendly and difficult. They charged me for a towel without justification.
