Restaurant and bar staff were exceptional. We were upgraded and had a fantastic room.
Das Hotel ist architektonisch eine Augenweide, eingebettet in eine wunderschöne Umgebung, liegt direkt an einem tollen Strand an der Admiralty Bay und verfügt sogar über einen eigenen kleinen Bootsanleger. Das Plantation befindet sich am Belmont Walkway, der zwischen dem Hafen, dem Ort und dem Princess-Margaret-Trail entlang führt. Wir hatten eine Gartenvilla in 2. Reihe, so unglaublich geräumig, komfortabel, schön eingerichtet, sehr sauber und mit einem herrlichen Ausblick auf blühende Büsche und das Meer!!! Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des Teams an der Rezeption und am Beach. Die Anlage liegt absolut ruhig und dennoch mitten im Leben. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und kommen definitiv wieder!!!!
Das Frühstücksbuffet bot wenig Abwechslung, an Obst oft „nur“ kleine Eckchen Wassermelone, Joghurt gab es nur an den ersten 3 Tagen. Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert sind die Eierspeisen, die man zum Frühstück bestellen konnte und auch abends haben wir sehr lecker gegessen.

Malgré un séjour de 4 nuits à un tarif élevé, nous n’avons ressenti aucune attention particulière : longue attente à l’arrivée pour obtenir notre chambre, absence de service (piscine, restaurant, hôtel), changement de chambre le deuxième jour avec plusieurs heures d’attente, personnel peu aimable et un sentiment général d’absence totale de gestion sur place. Lorsque nous avons souhaité prolonger d’une cinquième nuit, un tarif exorbitant nous a été proposé, ce qui nous a conduits à partir pour l’hôtel voisin, où l’accueil a été bien plus chaleureux. Très décevant pour un établissement de ce standing.

On a le sentiment qu’il n’y a ni véritable gestion ni responsable présent sur place ; le personnel est peu aimable, peu concerné, et souvent absent.

Location, beach chairs/setup were lovely and not too busy. Staff were friendlier than most other places in the country we interacted with.
Food at the restaurant was hit or miss as far as taste and preparation. Freshness was there though. Their pizza was not good considering it was made in a wood fired oven. Crust and sauce were bad.
Clean modern and the staff is excellent
It is sad to see hungry neglected animals allover the island and around the resort. I did my best to walk around and feed these poor animals. I wish I could do something to contribute to their welfare. So if you are reading this review and are going to Bequia, be kind and feed these poor desperate animals. Go to Chappy and donate to this not for profit organization. However, this doesn’t reflect negatively on the property itself.
The location was very good. Close to the beach and within walking distance to the main commercial area. The breakfast was monotonous and the food quality was not very good. It was also unpleasant to have stray dogs and cats wandering in the dining area.
Stray animals in the dining area. Food ran out before breakfast time ended. Poor customer service and long waiting times. While the check in experience was good as a tourist visiting for the first time I expected the hotel to provide me with information on the best places to visit and more details on island events for the holiday weekend. Even details on events taking place at the hotel were not readily available.
The room was comfortable and had a great view. Breakfast was very good. The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring Port Elizabeth where there is a great choice of bars and restaurants, and the Princess Margaret and Lower Bay beaches.
There was some confusion when we arrived as the room we had booked wasn't available. Fortunately, the one we were given was a perfect alternative which we would have booked, if we had known it was available.
Location
Managagment was TERRIBLE. We had an issue that the front desk could not, or would not, resoolve. We asked to speak to the manager, but for the four days we were there, he was always unavailable--at lunch, in meeting, etc. and we were told there was no way he could be contacted (yeah, right). The problem never got resolved and we were stuck with an added expense.
We didn’t stay there. After getting a confirmation from you two months prior we got a message from the hotel that they couldn’t accommodate us. Had to spend a fortune changing our flights and finding alternative accommodation. We will never book there again.
Beautiful room and bed linen, comfy bed. Gorgeous restaurant and bar right on the beach. Wish we could have stayed longer.
