the hotel is not flash or fancy, but provides clean and comfy rooms at a competitive price. Its within abt 15/20 mins of liverpool airport and next to railway station and good links to motorways. very friendly staff and superb cooked breakfast
I think for the price it was spot on
Location good, a few improvements since takeover, need to upgrade the beds as worn, when competing with Premier Inns and Travelodges who do have comfortable beds.
Local to train station
The breakfast was lovely full English
Nothing all good
Nice people and ok location
Bed very uncomfortable
Conveniently placed
Young adults running around the 3 level shouting and screaming between 11pm and 1am, nobody from hotel came out to quiet things down, like the ‘hood’ at weekends, won’t ever be back
The room was warm and clean.
The staff are super polite and friendly.
Parking was great as I'm disabled.
It was great value for money and the location was very quite an peaceful.
The room was a little tired in its condition and the menu was a very limited and basic.
Good value
Room ok , a bit worn
Very good.
Property is tired
Great value room very well maintained with good facilities,if travelling by train perfect location staff very friendly and welcoming.
Highly recommend.
All good.
Friendly and helpful staff.
The room smelt and the carpet was filthy, hairs and bits in the sink in the bathroom, which was otherwise moderately clean. The building, outside staircase and landing were generally shoddy, old and in poor state of repair. See image, which caused much laughter - but I don't think it was a joke.
Staff helpful and friendly near train station
I get it was £60 for 1 night for double room room was realy dirty carpets heavly stained funny smell like margarine scruff type smell 🤣 larger cans on landings .I booked in advance it was saying last room £60 on the day rooms were on offer £40 same rooms I have had cheaper and cleaner my opinion was like walking into a 60s caravan in Wales
it was where it was supposed to be.
The hot water was hot.
BATHROOM
Step up into the bath very high (I am 5'8", and struggled, my wife 5'0" almost couldn't get in!!!)
No mat for the bath, even though the sign said ask and you will receive!
Shower curtain dirty
Door to room stained
BEDROOM
No mirror where the hair dryer was (and cord too short to reach the nearest one in the bathroom.
Very dark where the hairdryer was.
MASSIVE cobwebs in the corner where the shutter mechanism is
Cobwebs and copious amounts of dust/dirt build up in the wall lights
Cover missing from an electrical junction, with the wire holding the TV in place hovering over it!
BED
Mattress had springs poking through on one side
Mattress had urine stains
Quilt had urine and blood stains
Bed only had a shelf one side of the bed, other side had nothing
The quality of cleanliness in the room was shocking, when we complained to the receptionist on our day of arrival, she shrugged her shoulders and said it was housekeeping's problem, but wasn't interested in taking details of our room in order to rectify the issue, and no chance of changing our room.
We certainly will not be using this venue for anything again.
