Really neat building, partially built into the caves. Amazing hosts. Delicious breakfast and dinner (dinner cost extra). Beautiful view of pigeon valley. Very close to everything (walking distance to Uchisar castle, short drives to goreme, Avanos and cauvicin).
Lots of stairs were a bit scary in the snow and ice.

L'hotel è molto caratteristico perché ricavato nella roccia. Ogni camera è diversa dalle altre, i letti sono ampi e comodi. Il panorama è suggestivo soprattutto di notte e stupendo. La colazione è ottima e abbondante e molto varia, con pietanze fatte in casa. La sig. Eser ci ha dato ottimi consigli su cosa visitare.
Non ci sono tende oscuranti alle finestre. Bisognerebbe registrare un po' le porte, alcune non chiudono bene. Nella nostra stanza non c'era un armadio. Per noi che ci siamo stati 4 notti questo è stato scomodo.
This is a home away from home. The host, Eser, took very good care of everybody.. She upgraded my room for free. Breakfast was plentyfull, and as I couldnt eat it all, she suggested me to take the rest and have it for lunch..She even brougth an extra plate of delicious fruit to my room.. On the day of departure I got an extra 3 eggs to take with me…Before my arrival I had a lot additional questions and it was seldom more than a couple of hours before she had answered my questions. All the hotel including the rooms are lovely decorated with handmade textiles.
This was my first stay in Turkey at all, and I cant imagine anywhere where I could have felt better.
And not to forget, Eser speaks very good English, which makes everythung so much easier

A bit far from gohme downtown
The breakfast was delicious, a generous spread of Turkish and Western food. The host Eser and her son were so kind and helpful with everything we needed, which made our stay special. The first night we arrived lateish, and we had ordered dinner at the hotel, which we ate on the balcony overlooking the night-lit valley (see photo). Perfect arrival. Uchisar is a great location to see the balloons in the early morning. Magical.

Il Pigeon non è un semplice hotel, ma un luogo che suscita meravigliose sensazioni.
Fin dal nostro arrivo Eser e suo marito ci hanno accolti con calore e gentilezza. La camera era a dir poco perfetta, Bagno enorme con doccia e vasca idromassaggio, e una finestra con vista pazzesca dal letto della Valle dei Piccioni, dell'alba e delle mongolfiere.
Terrazze con vista magnifica e spazi esterni di relax davanti alle camere.
Colazione indescrivibile, con pietanze fatte tutte a mano da Eser. Su richiesta preparano anche la cena servita sulla terrazza, con piatti squisiti tipici, sempre tutto fatto in casa da Eser.
Che dire? È stato un soggiorno perfetto e non vediamo l’ora di tornare!

Arrived at midnight after a long journey to find a thoughtful snack waiting. They went above and beyond – helping with excursions, showing me hidden local spots, and introducing me to Cappadocia’s warm community. Eser’s cooking is divine (the best Turkish food I’ve had!), breakfast was beautiful, and the rooms were spotless and comfortable. An unforgettable stay – I’ll be back!

A very warm welcome from the owners. Beautiful rooms, great homemade breakfast and comfortable terrace to enjoy the sunrise and sunset over the valley. We also had homemade dinner in the hotel one night which was good quality and very tasty.
Air-conditioning unit was very loud but a fan was also provided in the room so not a big issue for us.
A truly beautiful and unique hotel, in the best location. Watch balloons rise at sunrise over Cappadocia from your balcony. The owners and staff are the wonderfully friendly and helpful, we get so at home. The breakfast is probably the best we have had at any hotel, without exaggeration. Everything is homemade, including all the pastored and jams and preserves. We wish we could have stayed longer.

If paradise had an address, it would surely be Pigeon Hotel Uchisar. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in a warmth so genuine it felt like coming home. Eser and Ibrahim, the soul of this magical retreat, exemplify true Turkish hospitality radiating generosity, grace, and an instinctive knack for making every guest feel like family. Eser’s home-cooked meals deserve their own Michelin star - each dish was a celebration of flavor and tradition, served with love and abundant generosity. Ibrahim’s quiet attentiveness and deep knowledge of the region added texture to our experience, transforming every chat into a window into local lore. The staff, always smiling and kind, brought an air of joy to each interaction. Nothing was ever too much trouble (including tracing my lost glasses to a local taxi company and returning them to me) whether it was arranging excursions, making morning coffees just the way we liked them, or simply offering interest and conversation after a day exploring. And worth noting, they will happily arrange your tours once you arrive. Their recommendations were spot on from ballooning at sunrise to trail-riding at sunset. Better than going through a tour company.
That we coudn't stay longer!
Our stay at the Pigeon Hotel Cappadocia was extraordinary and a unique experience. A friend of mine and I stayed there after a bike packing adventure of one week to enjoy the last two days of our stay in Turkey. We also strongly recommend the local dinner in the hotel offered by the owner of the hotel. Amazing!
Family run little hotel in Uchisar, excellent breakfast, splendid view on Pigeon Valley. You can see some baloons then they are on the way down from your terrace. Tastefully decorated rooms, very cozy. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful time at Pigeon Hotel, and a big part of that was thanks to our incredible hosts—Eser, Ebrahim, and their lovely parents. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed, like part of the family.
Eser went above and beyond to help us plan a perfect itinerary for each day. Since we had a rental car, her advice made sure we made the most efficient use of our three days. Ebrahim also helped us book a local event that turned out to be a highlight of our trip. Her recommendations for shopping were spot on—we found beautiful jewelry and pottery that made perfect gifts.
We stayed in the Mountain view family room, which offered breathtaking views both day and night. Waking up to such a serene landscape and starting the day with a traditional Turkish breakfast—including the best menemen we’ve ever had—was unforgettable. Eser is also a fantastic cook; every dinner was a new and delicious experience, showcasing different Turkish recipes.
One of the unexpected highlights was how much Turkish phrases we picked up during our stay—more than we did throughout our entire road trip across Turkey!
Pigeon Hotel is not just a place to stay—it’s a luxury homestay experience with heart, comfort, and stunning views. We’ll definitely be recommending it to our friends and family.
