There are a couple of good rooms in this house, but there also is one old, smelly, moldy room in the back of the house, which they sell for the same price and with the same pictures as the other rooms. It is of another league though.
Once I arrived to the property, I realized right away that this is not the room that I booked. The owner was trying to play fool. Super annoying. You need to stop selling that room, dear owners, or at least show any real pictures of it and adjust the price. It's unfair and you deserve 1/10 for fooling your clients.
The location was very peaceful whilst at the same time within easy walking distance to the town center and the surf spots. Thari, her husband and Ravi were very friendly and accommodating - they really do provide Sri Lankan hospitality. The rooms were decent for the price your paying. We would have extended our stay if we didn't have other accommodation already booked. It's overall a great place to stay and would recommend it for either couples or solo travellers looking for a quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle.
Despite not speaking much English, Ravi was there to welcome us when we arrived only 5 minutes after booking our stay. He is always around to help you with anything you may need.
The room was clean, spacious and has a wonderful patio area all to ourselves! We loved how beautiful the garden was (and was kept by Ravi), enjoying the nature - we saw mongoose and monitor lizards.
The bed was really comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, despite it being short. We could see how easy it was to stay for long periods of time as everything was walkable.
We met the lady owner who runs the homestay and she was just wonderful. Thank you all for wonderful stay.

I lived in this place for a month and a half, and I really liked everything. I'll definitely come here again next time. Quiet, peaceful, convenient to cook, good cuisine, beautiful nature around. Friendly hosts!

The property is clean, quite and the garden is beautiful with so many beautiful birds and monkey sightings daily. The owners are lovely bringing me fresh fruit and other Sri Lankan food for me to try. Ravi is always around working and to help with anything.
Everything was great I extended because I liked it so much.
We had such a great stay in this accomodation. When we arrived, the host (Tari and her family) welcomed us with open arms. She really made us feel at home and helped us with anything we needed. For example, she arranged a motorbike for us, and even offered to cook us a traditional homecooked Sri Lankan dinner. How awesome is that?!
Besides that the accomodation is very nice. It's clean, spacious and it's in the middle of nature. We've seen quite a few animals in the Villa's garden, such as monkeys in the trees, chipmunks, frogs and of course several peacocks (hence the name Peacock Heaven).
We're remote workers, and it's good to know that the wifi was very fast and stable, and there was a table that we could use as a desk.
If you like a quiet getaway in the middle of nature with nice facilities, then this is the place to be 😁
Hosts are very friendly and helpful. They are easy to reach via WhatsApp. We asked for two more blankets, 30 min later we had them. The way to the cafes is about 10-12 min walk.
We had the two deluxe double rooms with balcony.
One was clean and tidy, the other looked like it hadn't been used for a while and hadn't been cleaned again before check-in. There were dead insects in the bathroom. The toilets do not look like in the pictures.
Everything about the stay was perfect for me: great and welcoming hosts, lovely facilitss that are comfortable and modern. 15mins to the city center and same distance to the lovely beach. Will be my regular place to stay in the future
This isn't a negative about the property at all, more a note for ppl wanting to stay inland in ahangama. The area where most inland houses are is quite dark at night, and there are the occasional dogs in the area. If you're a solo flinta+ Traveller that might be uncomfortable, so make sure to take a tuktuk in the evenings for an added feeling of safety.
