Endroit très calme très proche du port pour le départ le matin.
Plusieurs petits bungalow et au centre une belle piscine.
Les logements sont simples : ni bouilloire ni frigo ni eau chaude mais il y a la clim et de l eau douce.
La personne à l accuei est très agréable et vous donnera de l eau chaude ou un verre ou des glaçons, si vous demandez.
Nous avons bu notre café le matin sur place mais à moins de 5mn à pied il y a plein de petits endroits pour déjeuner.

Bel espace avec de la place entre les bungalows. Endroit calme avec un bon rapport qualité prix qualité - prix, bien situé.

Het ligt super centraal, vlakbij de haven en de mangrove is toch is dit erg rustig. Overdag hoor je vogels in de tuin. In de nacht kun je sterren kijken. Via de achteruitgang kom je bij Dapur Kecil uit, must try! Via de voordeur ben je zo op het strand en de doorgaande weg. Heerlijk afkoelen in het zwembad. 24/7 water bijvulopties dus minder plastic afval. Goede prijs kwaliteitverhouding! Badkamer in de open lucht dus geen muffigheid en klamme badkamer.

De familiekamer had een geweldig bed, de beste van de hele reis. We hebben twee nachten verlengd. Sliepen toen in een gewone tweebeddenkamer, ook schoon en netjes, die bedden zijn ook goed maar niet zo fantastisch als de familiekamer.

Best part: No rooster to wake you up at 5am! The pool is shared with the on-site dive shop and is very clean. The bungalow had a private rear courtyard, which was great for hanging wet things after ocean fun.

Staff and location.

Staff were very accommodating to our needs and so very friendly. There is big fish dive centre on site who have amazing knowledge and tips of the island. If you want a humble, traditional island stay then this is your spot. You can swim out the front in the ocean or have the choice of pools at your accommodation or eateries on the water. The staff will hook you up with Bikes if you need and snorkel tour recommendations and bookings also.

Beautiful gardens, lots of birdlife, very quiet at night. As a solo traveller, I felt comfortable and secure. Staff very helpful and friendly. Basic accommodation, but comfortable and clean. And a good dive centre - Big Fish Diving - on site!

I had last stayed at Secret Garden Bungalows in 2019 and was delighted to come back. It was exactly as it was before, which I loved. So many places have been 'poched up', whereas this is just the way it was, complete with open air shower in a private area around the back. The location is great, central to Jungutbatau and a stone's throw from the beach. I felt totally safe walking around at night. You can also book a snorkelling trip through reception with a previous diving instructor with them (Big Fish) who has set up in business on his own. Lovely man and well-organised. Big Fish still do diving, and one day I saw people in diving gear in the pool, practicing. Wonderful! :-) Breakfast is served on the little terrace in front of your room. If you like good, basic, back-packer type accommodation, this is your place! I fully recommend it.
