Un chemin un peu magané pour se rendre à mobylette. Une fois que nous avons trouvé le petit chemin à 5 minutes de la plage, ça facilité l’accès à la mer et au restaurant

Very disappointing – does not match reality

We travelled around Indonesia for a month, and unfortunately this was our worst hotel experience.

On arrival, nobody was at reception and we waited over 20 minutes. The reception and breakfast areas were extremely dusty. Our villa smelled unpleasant, we found a cockroach, and there was barely any hot water…

The bedding was dirty and had someone else’s hair on it. There were cobwebs, dust falling from the mosquito net, bugs and mosquitoes everywhere. The room clearly had not been properly cleaned. There was also constant noise from workers children’s, making it difficult to sleep.

We asked for a refund but were offered another villa instead, which was thankfully much better.

The next day, Lya from reception also tried to overcharge us, quoting 500,000 IDR for transport. We later paid only 370,000 IDR in total for the hotel-to-port transfer, ferry tickets and transfer to our next hotel.

After travelling Indonesia for a month, this was by far our worst experience. Definitely not recommended.

The rooms were well equipped and great for our short stay Unfortunately they were also damp and had an uncomfortable smell.

Vieles ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und müsste repariert oder erneuert werden. Leider sprechen nicht alle vom Personal gut englisch.

La piscine qui je me demande a quel moment elle est nettoyée, le personnel n'est pas désagréable mais spécial., en fonction de l'emplacement de votre chambre travaux des 6h du matin.

JUST DON'T DO IT. So many better options for similar price - L Good Mushroom Bay is great.

The accommodation at Cempaka is very run down - broken, old or damaged furniture in the rooms and by the pool. The rooms are musty, no fridges, no ceiling fans, bathrooms are not cleaned properly. The location is not central and it is a bit of a walk to restaurants and the beach (this would be a challenge at night, and the road in is pretty sketchy by bike) - with no other guests at the property it was pretty isolated. This wouldn't be as big of an issue if the actual accommodation was maintained and it was enjoyable to stay there, however it needs a serious do-up considering the price they are charging without any genius discount or deal. Honestly, I couldn't recommend this property less - when we spoke to the property manager about the issues, including the wifi being down, she couldn't care less and refused to rectify any of the issues, with Booking.com needing to intervene. Anyway, if you read this far, hopefully you're convinced to spend your money elsewhere. This will not be the island trip you're after, I assure you!

Road to villa is very bad

Unfortunately next door was a major hotel complex being built but it didn’t bother us too much given we were out mostly. The road to the facility is rough and has been for years making riding a scooter challenging.
