Dunfallandy House Hotel

Great place to stay in Pitlochry. Iris and Jack were present during our stay and provided whatever assistance was needed.

Breakfast was okay. Good but pretty basic. Dining room decor a bit lacking. But we loved exploring the grounds and staff was warm and welcoming.

Jack and Iris are wonderful hosts. Our stay was comfortable, breakfast was great and the property is delightful.

The hotel interiors were gorgeous. The hosts were so hospitable. The place is in a serene setting.9

The hosts were very welcoming and made sure we were made to feel as comfortable as possible.
Nothing was a problem and they were very accommodating with 2 young children.
The house is in beautiful grounds and there is plenty space to relax and enjoy the location both inside and outside. The location was excellent for us for our visit to the Enchanted Forest at Pitlochry.

Hosts were amazing and went out of their way for us more than once. Jack picked up our luggage at train station in morning so we could go explore Pitlochry, and then picked us up again from the distillery in the afternoon and took us to hotel to check in. Room was comfortable and perfect for our party of three friends. We hung out in the bar with the hosts and had delicious cocktails and a pretty yummy pizza for dinner. We had to leave early so missed the hot breakfast, but Jack drove us to the train station. Great service!!

Amazingly warm welcome, lovely room, quiet location and exceptional bar/lounge, especially for whisky lovers. Good breakfast. We will definitely stay again if we can.

This property really is a special place. The history of the area is reflected in the owners/hosts restoration work and they endeavor to make your stay comfortable and cater to your plans.

Friendly, comfortable, very pleasant — an incredible bar that everyone interested in whisky should experience. The hosts go above and beyond for their guests; an overall fantastic experience, highly recommended.

The Dunfallandy House was charming. One of the older mansion's that was remodeled. Everyone we had contact with here, was lovely. Room was comfortable and clean. Bathroom a bit on the small side, if you are a tall or bigger person, the shower could be an issue. It was fine for us. A delicious English breakfast was served the next morning. The house backs up to a sheep ranch...loved waking up to the sound of sheep!!! They have a very nice bar, that I wish we took advantage of using...if we come back, I would book 2 nights at the Dunfallandy House.

Arriving at Dunfallandy House was like taking a step back into the gracious history of entering a Manor Home. Home being a key factor - everything from our greeting by Iris to evenings in the Bar with Jack and Iris hosting, felt like being with family.
Our room was spacious and extremely comfortable. One of the absolute best things about the room was a lack of the ever present invasive television. While fully modernized and technically savvy with a tablet bedside to allow for online engagement, the furnishings were meant to optimize relaxation and getting away from the stress and pressures of day to day life.
Should you want to watch a movie or television show or news, a modern theater is available for your customized viewing enjoyment. All you need do is ask.
Evenings in the Bar were fun and engaging with both Iris and Jack major whiskey (Scotch of course) aficionado's. The "Collection" displayed prominently on the wall opposite the bar is truly impressive. It is the culmination of 11 years effort by the couple in a customized case built by Jack. At the bar itself you are faced with an impressive array of whiskies arranged by tasting types - sweet, port/sherry/wine cask etc. up to peaty - and very peaty. Spending an evening talking and imbibing of these offerings will remain one of my most treasured memories, enhanced only by the company of Iris and Jack.
And the breakfast......perhaps the most delicious and amazing food ever provided at an accomodation. Standard cold offerings were there with an abundant choice of fruit, cereals and breads/toast. But the hot offerings were what really put Dunfallandy House at the top. A beautiful full Scottish breakfast with locally sourced bacon, sausage, black pudding and haggis, and my personal favorite Avocado toast with smoked salmon. I customized that by adding Haggis and OMG. If you are near Pitlochary and Dunfallandy House has vacancy BOOK IT!

The welcoming we got when we entered the property was beyond fantastic. The bar area was superbly done. The breakfast was delicious. The location was great, near the town. It was a very picturesque place, all in all so good we booked again a few days later on our return journey!
