Great stay but half the hotel was closed.
Pros:

Breakfast excellent- views amazing- bed very comfortable.

Great location hotel but in serious need of a refurbishment
Pros:

Great location and staff were wonderful.

Cons:

Rooms and hotel are dated and in need of a refurbishment. Our sofa in our room was dirty and no amount of cleaning would fix this hence it’s time for a refurbishment. Expected more for $400 a night (with no breakfast included at that rate)

Excellent location, right on Glenelg beach and near tram stop
Delicious breakfast.

Cons:

Wonder why one has to pay extra for barista coffee at breakfast.
Also some rooms were very close to the neighbouring rooms and noise was easily heard through the walls

Not worth it. Just really old rooms.

Our room was comparable in price to EOS and a few other places I’ve stayed. But honestly, the wallpaper is dirty and literally peeling at the seams. Every corner in the bathroom has dark mould / dirt. The aircon system has 3cm of buildup of just dust and grime. The plumbing system looked like it was done on the fly. The “Netflix” is completely busted because the connectivity in each room is consistently trying to filter through who is wanting to login to what TV - so it’s unwatchable. All in all, just nowhere near the price tag or the brand that comes with the Stamford name. Even if the cleaners spent a whole day in one room, a cosmetic clean will not fix the actual dilapidated state.
