We enjoyed our time there and the hotel location and pool were fantastic
Pros:

It had an awesome pool, and in a beautiful location

Cons:

The hotel hallways and carpets had a bad smell to them and bathrooms felt a little dull and outdated even though it’s a older building they could do with an update

Good hotel in a lovely seaside location
Pros:

Great sea front location and close to shops, pubs and restaurants. The bedroom was spacious as was the bathroom.

Cons:

The Grand Bar was far from what I would call grand with a strange mixture of outdoor and function room furniture in a weird split level layout. Also the Panoramic restaurant is a bit dated.

Pros:

Toilet seat didn’t stay up for when a male needs to wee. Outdated facilities. Given price I would have expected more. Not going to stay again and I travel a lot for work.

Cons:

Make sure all facilities work. Upgrade rooms.

Don't Expect Value for Money

Cons:

For a top tier room at a premier brand hotel I expected more. The room was ordinary and I had to request extra cleaning of the bathroom twice to remove residue from the tiled floor
I stayed 4 nights and neither bottled water nor mini bar stocks were replenished from day I checked in
Breakfast was good but selections were modest and only a single very worn and extremely slow toaster for use. Plus barista coffee was available but not included in cost of breakfast - requiring charge back to your room.
The E bikes for residents require a payment of $15 - a bit tight for guests paying $500 a night
Overall it seemed the operation was focused on maximising return and relied on location to attract guests rather than repeat business from return travellers
I definitely won't be back

Location, staff, room and cocktail bar all very good, buffet breakfast average and tired.
Pros:

Location, staff and room were all very good. We stayed for 3 nights and the cocktail bar was excellent with lovely ambience.

Cons:

What could be better was the buffet breakfast, poached eggs, scrambled eggs and bacon very tired, espresso coffee available but at additional cost. Was so average we only went once out of 3 mornings

The room I had was tired, carpet and lounge needed replacement.

Cons:

The rooms needed repair. The carpet was terrible and the lounge had stains on it. It felt grubby and unloved. The main bar had the best view but the windows were very dirty. There was no pride in the finishing touches in general.
