Comfortable stay
Pros:

Iconic hotel in the heart of Fremantle

Cons:

Rooms are a bit tired. However they do seem to be renovating. Hotel often seemed quite cool.

A beautiful place to stay and to be.
Pros:

I was much in need of some TLC. It was beautiful there. View over ocean wonderful. Room spotlessly clean, facilities great. Staff were attentive professional and lovely. Great location to shops, everything needed close by. Walk to beach etc.

Would definitely stay again and recommend to family and friends.
Pros:

Check in was a breeze and the staff were delightful and very helpful with all requests.

Cons:

We were happy with everything during our very short stay. Nothing that we didn't like.

Ok but disappointing considering the cost and extra upgrade.
Pros:

Great location and walking distance to shops, restaurants and beach. Good bar area.

Cons:

Outdated rooms. Cleaning terrible. Cobwebs in corners of room, no body wash in shower - when requested replacement, cleaning staff not happy and did not replace, 4 days no body wash available. Had to purchase own. Although towels replaced, old towels left in pile around room. Bathroom not actually cleaned for entire 5 night stay.

A hotel without peer on the beach
Pros:

Location, ocean view, heritage look, boardwalk & restaurants.

Cons:

When I asked a young male staff member on reception “When was the hotel built?” he replied “How old are you?” to the horror of his young female colleague. He was clumsily alluding to the surprise answer that it is younger than me.

Enjoyable stay in a very convenient location close to the beach
Pros:

Amazing location. Staff friendly and room of a spacious size with lovely views.

Cons:

The property and rooms are quite dated.
The pool was closed due to high winds.
No plates, utensils or glasses located in our suite
