Great and scenic location to visit nearby sites
Pros:

We came for the festival at the nearby temple, it was very well located for the temple, excellent location - friendly staff and old but very nice rooms - Showa style :)

Cons:

Unfortunately there was no breakfast service due to the large festival we were told.

Explore a beautiful mountain stay after a day in Nara before returning to Osaka
Pros:

The hotel is just down from the temple (10mins walk up gentle steps, lit by lanterns at night). It's a steep hike from the first stop on the cable car. So thd views are fabulous, buy try to travel light if you are arriving on foot! Bring mosquito spray if strolling around at night...it's rural!

Cons:

The interior is charmingly dated, but the room itself was more traditionally Japanese. Lovely staff and indonsian restaurant nearly next door was great. Ikoma temple is treasure...

An awesome stay in a not-so famous, yet lovely little corner in the mountains in Nara
Pros:

The view of Nara from the window is outstanding, especially to see the sunrise.
The bedclothes are clean, generous and very comfortable.
The very cute and useful table and two chairs in the balcony facing the window.
Close to a few good restaurants and stores in town, and especially close to Hozan-Ji (temple)

和室でゆったり過ごせました。
周りの環境も雰囲気があり良かったです。

Cons:

布団がマットレス＆敷布団で用意してくださっててフカフカなんですが、柔らかすぎて私には少し寝苦しかったです。

Pros:

老闆在入住前就給予詳細的入住路線圖並給最佳的方式到達飯店，入住後更詳細介紹周遭的旅遊景點跟用餐地方，對於剛入住不熟悉環境的房客很受用。飯店離寶山寺很近，不管下午跟上午是不一樣的風景，值得不同時間去走走。

Pros:

The location gives you good access to hiking in the mountain as well as good access to Nara or Osaka using the metro. The area is quiet with a good view over Ikoma, a more relaxing location than staying in Osaka.

Cons:

The selection of restaurants nearby is limited unless you go down the mountain, and the walk up and down is exhausting. But there is a rail cart you can use and if you’re out and about all day anyway it doesn’t really matter about the restaurants.
