I would stay here again but not on the 4th floor! Location was great.
Pros:

The staff was very helpful and accommodating (asked for extra pillows and they promptly arrived). Staff was on site for check in (we notified them of our arrival time).

Cons:

We were on the 4th floor and the 5th floor people were extremely noisy one night. On other nights you hear what sounded like chairs moving around. Noise from above was the only issue.

We loved it - thank you!
Pros:

We loved the location and being right in the middle of Pontocho. The room was quite spacious with a lovely bathroom. Very comfortable for our family of 4.

Cons:

It didn’t really bother us but it is in the middle of all the nightlife so it can be quite noisy throughout the night and morning.

Large Rooms & Great Location, but Mind the Nightlife Noise
Pros:

-Excellent Privacy: With only four units in the building, it feels very private and exclusive.
- ​Room Size: The room and the bathroom are surprisingly spacious for Japanese standards, which was a nice bonus.
- ​Location: Situated on a street parallel to the main shopping district and within walking distance of Gion. It’s a perfect base for sightseeing, shopping, and dining.
- ​Beautiful Scenery: During the day, you can see a quaint little stream right in front of the building, which is very beautiful and peaceful.
- ​Convenience: Because the location is so central, it was very easy to pop back to the hotel to rest during the day before heading out again.

Cons:

-Inconvenient Luggage Drop: If you arrive before check-in, you cannot leave your bags at the hotel. You must take them to a separate building on the main shopping street.
-​Cash Key Deposit: A cash deposit is required for extra keys.
-​Mixed Service: The staff was initially inflexible regarding the deposit return, though the manager eventually provided a helpful solution.
-​No Daily Cleaning: The room is clean upon arrival, but please note there is no daily housekeeping service.
-​Nighttime Noise: The windows are not soundproof. Since the hotel is on a street with pubs and gentleman clubs, it can get quite noisy at night.

這是我第一次在日本的住宿
Pros:

距離附近的景點步行大概都15分鐘左右，室內設計很合理人性，設施保養新淨。浴室非常衛生乾淨，住在這裡三天非常開心，樓下的食街也很給力。以後我一定回來再住一次。我很喜歡這裡

Pros:

Location was fantastic, right in the heart of Kyoto. Restaurants and izakaya are right outside. Short walk to Nishiki market and Gion areas. Shopping street around the corner. Great value.

Cons:

It is a little loud, but that’s the price you pay for such a good location. The check in and luggage delivery location is a 5 min walk away, which isn’t a big deal but can be a bit confusing. River view is also the small canal thing in pontocho, not the actual big river.
