A little piece of tropical heaven in the heart of Sri Lanka. We spent 3 days here and manager, Priyantha couldn’t have been more helpful and hospitable. We are a family of 5 (2 adults and kids aged 10, 13 and 15) who demanded all the water based activities the centre could offer during our stay! Priyantha and his incredible team rose to the challenge! Special shout out to instructor Rachita who made the 3 days so special for us too. For an adenaine junky this is the perfect place to stay and have all activities and food arranged for you - The area lends itself to everything - Canyoning, whitewater rafting, waterfall abseil (105 feet!), Zip line across/into river, river tubing, mountain biking, hiking, bird watching. All fairly priced compared to other places we've experienced. Superb customer service. We felt in very safe hands during all activities, especially the waterfall abseil. Manager, Priyantha highly qualified in this area, really knows what he's doing...Delicious Sri Lankan meals cooked fresh by brilliant on-site chef. Spacious clean rooms, with facilities for hot drinks on the balcony with breath taking views of the rainforest and River Kelani. Local village of Kitugala just a short hop away in a tuk tuk (200 rupees) or you could easily walk, if you want to explore a little outside of the centre itself. Kitugala is a little off the beaten track but well worth the visit. Easily accessible from Colombo by car (2 hours) and just 2 hours from Kandy by car. Manager, Priyantha helpfully arranged all our transport from Colombo to the hotel and then from hotel to Kandy when we left. Don't miss this place and all it has to offer when you visit Sri Lanka!

Hôtel tres dépaysant avec un très bon accueil et des activités bien organisées. Emplacement au bord de la rivière avec possibilité de baignade. Certains commentaires sont sévères ! Nous avons été agréablement surpris.

The hotel is overpriced, and the cleanliness of the place is extremely bad and full of insects and bed bugs. The food was fair in quality. The hotel manager will try to cut ccosts atthe expense of the guests and provide promises and don't deliver.

We only took this place because it was the only place available for our big group; otherwise, we wouldn't choose it at all.

The location right by the river is perfect. The manager was very friendly and organised white water rafting and canyoning for us which was brilliant, even though the level of the water was low. The hotel is very basic but is also authentic. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious.

Stunning location right on the river, the views from the balcony of my room were particularly amazing. The staff were extremely attentive and on hand to help with anything I needed. Traditional Sri Lankan food for dinner and breakfast in the restaurant was wonderful and extremely well priced. All round a great place to stay.

It was very good accomodation.
We lived next to the river in the jungles in big rooms. We looked at the stars and heared the sound of the river from our balcony in the night. We had very delicious lunch and dinner. It was very friendly owner. He told us a lot of interesting information and organised for us amazing water adventures.

It’s a great location with access to the river

The rooms are basic but the surrounding is amazing
You wake up on the riverbed in the middle of the jungle
Then on the next day the owner arranged for us, our best day in Sri Lanka - we started in with Canyoning which includes going down a canyon - sliding down rocks and jumping down the river. We then did a zipline and finally went rafting down the river!

A balcony with an amazing view right above the river but next to it is an asbestos roof. The staff was very kind and nice. The rooms were clean
