Guest House Bellaguarda

Vi har hatt en uforglemmelig opphold i Altea! Vi har vært i byen og området en rekke ganger, og vi har bodd litt "rundt om kring" - nå har vi funnet drømmestedet! Verten (Georg) er en svært raus og inkluderende type. Vi fikk en grundig og fin gjennomgang av enkle husregler, og det passet oss fint! Han, Georg, kunne svare på alle våre spørsmål, og kunne også tilby mat på forespørsel.
Han var på ingen måte masete, men inviterte man til samtaler var dette en person man absolutt kunne ha både enkelt, overflatisk "smalltalk", eller også dypere samtaler om seriøse temaer. Han var også svært oppmerksom, og kunne veilede, eller skaffe til veie det vi måtte ønske - og uten at vi måtte "mase".

Everything was in the house to make your stay comfortabel. Even the transfer from the parkingplace was arranged by tuctuc. Within five minutes Georg picked us up and was a very friendly host.

Georg est de très bon conseils dans tous les domaines et dispose d’excellentes adresses pour déjeuner et dîner (qualité/prix au top).

Nuestra estancia fue fantástica. El anfitrión fue muy amable, simpático y acogedor, siempre atento para que nos sintiéramos como en casa. La casa es muy amplia y la habitación también, todo decorado con mucho encanto y cuidado.

El alojamiento está situado en una zona muy tranquila del pueblo, perfecta para descansar, y al mismo tiempo a pocos minutos caminando del núcleo histórico. Sin duda, un lugar con mucho encanto y totalmente recomendable. ¡Repetiríamos sin dudarlo!

Amazing stay

Lo que más nos gustó fue la terraza, desde la que se podía ver todo el casco viejo, la iglesia, el mar, era espectacular. También nos gustó mucho la ubicación del hostal, en el casco histórico pero en la zona tranquila, una maravilla pasear por allí, Y al lado de la plaza de la iglesia, y de la playa. Descubrimos un nuevo Altea que no conocíamos.

I stayed at Guest Bellaguarda House for the fifth time because I fell in love with it. The view from the rooftop terrace is breathtaking, the rustic interior is my favorite, and the location is fantastic. Host is very welcoming and very attentive to making sure I had everything I needed. As usual, he offered me a ride in a tuk-tuk from where I’d parked my car to Guest Bellaguarda House and also agreed to delay the check-out time by a few hours on the day I was leaving. I was very grateful for that. I was also very happy that air conditioning was installed in my favorite Asia room , where I usually stay, especially since it was July and very hot. Thank you Georg for everything. I definitely will be back☺️

Todo increible, había cocina para poder cocinar y ahorrarse el restaurante, nos presto cosas para la playa como sombrillas y aqua shoes, estuvimos muy cómodos.

The owner kindly picked us up from the station to the guesthouse in his tuk-tuk. He is often nearby if you need any help or have a question/need an advice, which feels especially nice in a world where in many countries it has become common to simply leave keys in a coded box and have no personal contact.
The guesthouse itself is thoughtfully equipped - it has absolutely everything you might need. The atmosphere is cozy and aesthetic which is probably already clear from the photos. As an art historian I enjoyed spending these days surrounded by paintings and other artworks in the guesthouse.
The terrace is, in our opinion, the best in Altea: the views are absolutely breathtaking, with mountains, the sea, and the white houses with the church in the distance.
My husband and I stayed for five nights in the smallest room of the guesthouse. From the photos, it wasn’t entirely clear how small it would be, but in reality it was absolutely comfortable. We had plenty of space. The bathroom was also spacious, with a shower that worked perfectly. There are both a ceiling fan and air conditioning in the room.
We saw the other guests occasionally, but we hardly crossed paths, so everyone had plenty of privacy and nobody disturbed anyone.
The owner’s cat is lovely - he minds his own business, doesn’t seek attention, and didn’t cause any allergy although my husband is normally allergic to cats.
Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at this guesthouse in calm and beautiful Altea!

Guest House Bellaguarda is a fantastic place to stay in Altea. The location is excellent, offering a beautiful panoramic view over the town and the Mediterranean, while still being within easy walking distance of everything worth seeing. What truly made our stay exceptional was the outstanding care and communication from the owner - Georg who was always friendly, responsive, and genuinely helpful. Comfortable accommodation, breathtaking views, and warm hospitality - everything you need for a perfect stay in Altea. Highly recommended!

La ubicación.

Localización, las buganvillas, comodidad

Generös värd, väl utrustat och att man fick tips om vad som vad värt att se och göra. Fick låna badskor vilket uppskattades mycket både för den fräscha stenstranden( runda stenar) i Altea och utflykten till vattenfallen och badet/ upplevelsen i Algar. Vi bodde i bästa rummet högst upp och nyttjade den fantastiska takterrassen för frukost och kvällar. Georg fixade givetvis skugga åt oss då med stort parasoll.

George is the perfect host. Whenever you need him, he is there. He has the most wonderful collection of Chinese art. I slept in room completely decorated with the best art. Besides that, I was so lucky that my stay coincided with a neighbourhood festival with music en free paella in front of the house. The house is located in the historical centre and has a very cosy rooftop terrace with a marvellous view. It was my second stay and I will be back! Thank you George!
