Room was perfect, breakfast was great (could have done with some jam but there was none), staff helpful - longish haired guy by the pool helped with an umbrella for us and was pleasant. Chateaubriand at the Brasserie Blanc was insanely beautiful.
Cocktails were AWFUL. Pimms tasted like water, raspberry mojito tasted like water - to be fair the raspberry mojito was replaced but the second drink was then overdone and ridiculously strong - the bar man needs lessons for sure. The pool - not enough beds, and dirty - flys all over it, no one cleaning it. £6.50 for a can of pale ale (no beer we were told it was for a function) - £3.50 for a can of coke - it was a rip off. No nice sandwiches or snacks at the pool bar. Car parking was horrendous. Benches outside the front dangerous - decrepit and need replacing. We missed having the indoor pool - definitely a summer venue.
Location was fabulous a s the hotel view from the window was amazing
We had to ask to change rooms as our room was in front of the lift. Room was not as big as I thought it was going to be. Plus no bath just a shower. There was not a nice smell in the ground floor rooms. Needed more pool beds around the pool.
Lovely stay, very central hotel
Pool was not as clean as l would expect and sofa beds should come as standard with toppers
the view, the pool area
the hotel was very full, the breakfast items were not re stocked, even after going back twice. Staff were too busy to clear plates from tables, etc. The quality was good. However, there was not enough staff to ensure it was a 4-star experience. That did not take away from the enjoyable stay.
Good
Signage was needed to navigate the hugh property. Not enough lifts
The room was spacious but overlooked the car park, I would have expected more in-room facilities like water, more than one teabag and bathrobes for that price.
The bath towels were very small and there was only one slightly bigger one, a strange light stayed on under the sink all night which was disturbing and another light in the headboard couldn’t be switched off. Also the room was noisy due to the door to the pool area being slammed all the time.
The views, outdoor pool and direct access to it from the cottages. The open gardens and access to it from the cottages was perfect for my dog. Excellent aircon system for the hot weather. It was a very comfort stay overall in the cottages. It’s not my first stay and we will definitely return again.
Nothing
Lovely room in one of the former cottages. Separate from the main hotel building and very comfortable.
Brasserie Blanc restaurant was excellent.
Breakfast was good but not of the quality we expected.
Location
Very expensive for what is was. Breakfast was not great
Super rooms
Smashing breakfast
Superb eating breakfast on the terrace
Great location
Great beach and easy access to the town and shops / restaurants
Pool area looking shabby now , rusty railings etc , just looks tired , also disappointed that the indoor pool area is still not useable and very poor to be confronted by chains baring the internal door access , also £8.00 for a 330ml bottle of cheap beer from the poolside bar was very steep , we didn't bother to have one on this visit
