Scenic, nice property and comfortable stay.
Will hopefully revisit once full facilities are renovated.
Lovely friendly and cosy hotel - just great for walkers on the wall - lovely setting next to the river and bridge. Close to the Hadrians wall walk so a great stopping point.
Tiny bit cold in my room - needed curtains above the radiator to let heat into room - but curtains great for keeping the wind out.
Good atmosphere, clean warm room, good shower with plenty of hot water. Tea coffee milk biscuits provided. Very good bar! Good food. Plenty of seating to sit outside as the weather was very good for March. Excellent parking as I have a large car! Very well situated for exploring Hadrians wall, Roman sites Corbridge Hexham and to get the train (Corbridge station) into Newcastle. People working in the hotel were helpful and friendly.
All good
The location was nice
The location
No lift
The location was good our room had a great view and was comfortable, it is very dog friendly and walks by the Tyne were lovely.
Lack of ambience, lack of service even though it was quiet. The breakfast waitress kept looking at her watch to get cleared up. At 9.20 a lot of the breakfast buffet had been removed.
Location and quite
Nice room with a view of the garden and river. We ate dinner in the restaurant. The food was good and reasonably priced.
Just perfect, wonderful location, clean spacious rooms, happy accommodating staff, very helpful with knowledge of the local area, peaceful nights sleep
Lovely setting. Excellent staff. Comfortable lounge area and leaflets of places to visit.Very good breakfast. Perfect for exploring the region. Stayed two nights as one was through “Carefree” breaks for carers.
Unfortunately due to excellent facilities in the bedroom, the bed was rather uncomfortable. We kept rolling into the middle plus springs underneath us made it hard.
