La vue oui ! Le reste mitigé
Pros:

Emplacement et la vue sont les atouts majeurs, il est évident que cette vue est magique ! On pourrait mettre 10 pour ce spot et cette piscine
La Présence d’un petit frigo est un vrai +
Pas de repas sur place donc pas d’avis
Pas d’excursion avec l’hôtel donc pas d’avis
Mais…

Buiten het zwembad is er niets goed aan deze accomodatie.

Helaas voldeed ons verblijf niet aan de verwachtingen.

We kwamen iets later aan dan gepland en hadden dit vooraf gemeld aan het hotelpersoneel. Toen we rond 1.00 uur ’s nachts arriveerden, kregen we geen reactie meer en bleek het hotel gesloten te zijn. Aan de ingang werden we bovendien uitgescholden door een taxichauffeur die daar lag te slapen. Vervolgens hebben we anderhalf uur moeten zoeken naar een oplossing.

Uiteindelijk bleek dat de receptioniste in het zwembad aan het zwemmen was en de tijd uit het oog was verloren. Ze bood geen excuses aan en lachte het incident zelfs weg.

Diezelfde nacht werkte de airconditioning niet. Meerdere andere gasten meldden hetzelfde probleem, maar er werd niets aan gedaan.

De volgende dag hebben we het voorval besproken met de manager. Ook zij leek totaal niet geïnteresseerd en gaf aan dat het niet haar probleem was.

Ik ben zelf van Marokkaanse afkomst en vond dit extra teleurstellend. De gastvrijheid waar Marokko om bekendstaat, hebben wij hier helaas niet ervaren. Het personeel kwam ongeïnteresseerd over en leek tegen hun zin te werken.

Er zijn gelukkig veel betere hotels in de omgeving die wel een goede service bieden, zoals Hotel Sunset Palace Merzouga.

Laat je niet misleiden door de foto’s van het zwembad. Helaas is dat het enige positieve dat dit hotel te bieden heeft.

Una experiencia increíble
Pros:

La localización del establecimiento es inmejorable, literalmente a los pies del desierto con una piscina infinita que es una fantasía. Patio central estilo carabansar, y habitaciones espaciosas que cuidan el detalle al máximo. La cena estupenda, y lo mejor de todo el personal que te hace sentir como en casa. Hamir, más que un fantástico anfitrión, es un amigo que te recibe en su hogar. Siempre estará este lugar en nuestro recuerdo.

Très beau lieu à Merzouga.Très confortable pour supporter les fortes chaleurs du mois de juin.
Pros:

Un hébergement de rêve dans un lieu magnifique,face aux dunes.Très bon accueil malgré notre heure tardive d’arrivée.Chambre très agréable et climatisée car au mois de juin il fait déjà très chaud.Petit déjeuner excellent pris à côté de la piscine.Balade à dromadaire organisée par l’établissement.

Cons:

Pour des raisons d’hygiène il serait souhaitable qu’il ne soit pas autorisé de se baigner dans la piscine habillé .Des vêtements prévus à cet effet existent

Strongly not recommended
Pros:

The swimming pool (when it was not dirty)

Cons:

* No water in the whole hotel during 24h (no shower. No toilets !!). At check out, when it was still not repaired, I asked "what can you offer me?". They said "write to Booking.com, we can't refund you". I had to go to the local Police to complain about the lack of water. They asked the owner to come to the Police station, which he did. Only then he agreed to refund one night.
* Staff is the worse I have seen in my life. They hang out around the bar as if they were customers. Nobody is cleaning.
* Insects in the bedroom
* Breakfast is depressing, few food and staff staring at you from the bar
* No service for drinks or food around the swimming pool, and if you ask for something staff complains
* Swimming pool dirty, 3 people from staff watching it and when asked why they are not cleaning they didn't answer anything.
* A/C works but is super noisy

Good location before going into the desert. Nice staff. Good food. Beautiful sunset location.

Cons:

Check-out is around noon (which is understandable) but you must leave the premises no later than 2-3 pm to make space for new arriving guests (not even allowed to use swimming pool after 2-3).

Traumhafte, ruhige Lage an der Sahara m
Pros:

Das Gesamtpaket aus Lage von dem Hotel direkt an der Wüste, dem netten Personal, der Ruhe dort und der Hotelgestaltung ist einfach traumhaft und ersetzt so manch strapaziosen Aufenthalt in einem der vielen Wüstencamps. Die Anreise ist mit einem Standard-PKW möglich und erfordert kein Allround-Fahrzeug

Pros:

The aesthetic leans heavily into staged desert authenticity — if that's your thing, you'll love it.
The rooms are genuinely impressive though: huge, with high ceilings and — most importantly in the Sahara — air conditioning that actually works. With temperatures hitting 46°C outside, this wasn't a luxury, it was survival. A working AC unit here is worth more than any amount of decor.

Cons:

Breakfast was a letdown — sparse and forgettable.
Parking is free but entirely exposed to the sun. A couple of simple shelters for guest cars wouldn't go amiss — after a day in the dunes, returning to a car that's been baking at 50°C is not pleasant.
