Not worth the price.
Cons:

We booked the Hannum House for our wedding, just the two of us, and made note on the booking reservation and when we called to confirm our reservation. We weren't expecting the staff to do anything special for us, but they didn't say congratulations or mention it at all.

Also as when we got to the room we noticed a dried up contact lens in the bed, under the comforter and over the sheets. There was also a wasp nest outside our window.

i like staying in skaneatlas. i think i like packwood house better! parking and was quieter…..

location good. bathroom shower great. bathroom spacious.

Cons:

parking sometimes hard. music loud on sunday afternoon. watching tv at night 4 poster was in the way. needed a step to get on the bed😁

Pros:

The room(5) is lovely-- breakfast is good coffee and an excellent croissant. Location in town is perfect.

Cons:

The hotel was empty -- however staff made no effort to check us in early when we arrived at 1 pm. They said housekeeping and maintenance needed to check room before we checked in. Again the room was not occupied the night before so ---- not sure why the delay.

Good off-season getaway, well kept and comfortable.
Pros:

We live not far from Skaneateles and stayed for one night to celebrate our anniversary. The house and our room were beautiful, quiet (in March); staff were helpful and friendly. The room had a view of the lake and a gas fireplace. The huge bathtub and walk-in shower were grand. Location in the village is convenient. Skaneateles is a lovely village, walkable, right on the lake. The bar in the pub at the Sherwood Inn, which is next door and same owner as Hannum House, is small, friendly, cozy. It is also a restaurant.
Hannum House parking for guests is right by its entrance. Breakfast in the Sherwood Inn was relaxed and pleasant, a great finish for our one night getaway. Oh, and the small bakery, Patisserie, behind the Hannum House is not-to-be-missed for excellent breads and irresistible pastries.

Cons:

Having a short history of the house (and perhaps of Skaneateles) would add to the pleasure of a stay.
A ground floor lounge/sitting room for guests would definitely enhance the experience.
We never attempted the challenge of using the narrow, winding, carpeted front staircase to the second floor. The lovely, wider staircase in back was a welcome alternative.
Note: our bed was higher than most hotel beds to get into; ask for more info if needed.

Liked the proximity to the lake and the convenience of being able to walk the town
Pros:

Ate breakfast at the inn next door. Very good- loved the croissants .

Cons:

Sorry that the facility is located on such a busy road with so much truck traffic.

Treat yourself! Perfect place in the perfect town!
Pros:

Beautiful furniture, draperies; very comfortable,luxurious bed,pillow and linens! Porch upstairs and downstairs for relaxing! Common rooms for getting up early and having a place to read and have early coffee! Main bldg a short walk with a great bar, restaurant and lobby again for early coffee. The views were amazing! Walkable as you are right in town!

I loved everything about it!

We really enjoyed our stay, and would recommend it highly
Pros:

This is a gem of a bed and breakfast. The room was spacious, well-maintained, clean and with spectacular view of the lake. Our room was close to the library sitting area that was period perfect. The grounds were well taken care of and the proximity to downtown was a plus.

Cons:

As stated above, the accommodations were wonderful. We do feel that, while the breakfast of coffee and a croissant was very good, there was an extra charge for a full breakfast. Typically, for most B&B’s that would be included. Regardless, the breakfast were well prepared and delicious.
