Pros:

I loved everything about the Hostel. I really loved the events that they had so you can meet other people if you are traveling alone. I had such a great time and made so many good memories because of that. I felt very safe and the workers there were so professional and helped with everything. The rooms were very clean and the place to was close to the beach where you can do many water activities. I totally recommend this place!

First of All, I would like to congratulate all you guys from management and to all the accommodating staff of the hotel. I am very happy to be part as your guest in the hotel Happiness Hostel Boracay is the best, from the staff, the area and clean and INSTAGRAMABLE vibe of place. It makes my stay there a remarkable and memorable enough. I recommend this hotel and give 10 stars and a great job to all the staffs, Keep it up guys. I will come back soon. I have a place now where I can stay more comfortable and relaxing. 100% Approved to me. For everyone who wanted to stay in happiness hostel boracay, don't hesitate just book it and you won't regret it. Lost 2 nights from my holiday and these are the reasons

I have used Booking.com for many years and stayed in many accommodations, but this was one of my worst experiences.

My dorm bed was approximately one metre from the generator and pool machinery. There was a very strong chemical smell from the pool equipment, and waste was also stored nearby. The smell was so strong that my eyes were burning the next morning, and I barely slept.

I reported this immediately and asked to be moved or to cancel my second night and receive a refund. Instead, my complaint was not properly handled, and I was told that if I checked out, I would still be charged.

Then, at around 3:00 a.m., the air conditioning stopped working. Reception was closed, so we had to find the security guard. We were told it was an electricity problem and had to wait until the morning.

The most concerning issue was my PHP 1,000 security deposit. The hostel refused to return it, claiming I had brought an outside guest into the property.

The person was a Filipino woman I had met at the restaurant inside the same hotel. We later returned to the property together. If visitors are not allowed, the security guard should have stopped her at the entrance and asked whether she was staying at the hotel. He did not. I was never clearly informed that I was violating a visitor policy.

What is particularly concerning is that I later came across other guest reviews mentioning similar problems involving security deposits.

For me, there were simply too many issues: poor communication about Wi-Fi, an unacceptable dorm location next to machinery and chemicals, strong smells, lack of sleep, air-conditioning problems, poor handling of my complaint, and finally the withholding of my PHP 1,000 deposit.

Cons:

The room was dirty, especially the bathroom. There is loud music in the morning. The towel I got was dirty. Wifi barely worked. Would not recommend and wouldn’t come back.

The place is beautiful, the staff is kind and friendly, food and alcohol are a great price. I imagine for solo travellers is ideal since there is a chance to meet people from all places, and of course, locals too. Overall an amazing place

Cons:

The wifi on the rooms didn't work for a bit, but the one in the common areas did, and it was fixed after a day (or two?)

It was good and will definitely comeback.
Pros:

It's accessible and the location is good. The staff were nice especially Ate Ghing. The food were a but pricy but it was all delicious and the serving was big.

Cons:

I hate how the lady staff wearing long black dress last August 17, 2026 body shamed me for wearing bikini on the pool and said to the man she was talking to "hubadera rin?". It would be better to be nice and keep their comments on their own. It wont cost you anything to be nice tho.
