Nice hotel and staff swimming pool was a disappointment

The swimming pool ,
Very very deceiving on the size from the website picture, it could do with a clean as the water was a bit smelly plus there were bits and pieces of debris on the swimming pool floor, this was my picked up by my daughter as well

Cons:

Couldn't get basic information like to go to bus station from man in reception. He wasn't help full at all. Also when ask for additional pillows ( those supplied were very flat) I was asked to pay extra fee. First time I met such request/arrangements.

Tacloban at its best
Pros:

THe Alejandro is very conveniently located with all services and shops nearby, or within a short and easy tricycle ride.
The breakfast options, Western and Filipino, are excellent and set in the comfortable hotel Cafe and are served by a willing staff. I had a supper in the Cafe one evening and this too was excellent with the choice of a wide ranging menu served promptly.
The hotel has a wonderful selection of photos from the WW2 actions in Leyte which should make this hotel a "Must" for anyone interested in military history. They are hung in the corridors on all floors and are a reminder of the difficulties the Leyte people had during the war years.

Cons:

My room was not made up but I was not clear if this was because I had arrived one day early and this had not registered with the Housekeeping staff. Incidentally, the hotel apologised for the booking.com rate being so much more expensive than that offered by the hotel.

Geräumiges Zimmer, gute Betten, prima Lage

Cons:

Alte, halb kaputte, unangenehm riechende und lärmende Klimaanlage. Keine Safebox im Zimmer. Aufzug defekt, etc...

My stay was okay and the location was convenient for me.
Pros:

the breakfast was very good. The staff were polite and fast service.

Cons:

I made a mistake in booking for a 3 beds-room when I am alone and needed only 1 bed. When I requested for the change of my room, it took 2 days before my request was granted.

Excellent. I will definitely stay again in my next visit.
Pros:

Perfect location.

Cons:

Kitchen staff could have been more sensitive in asking questions. Instead of asking “do you have a seniors’ card?” , it could have been “do you wish to avail of any possible discounts?”. Or not ask the question at all.

A little overpriced for tired rooms

Lots of great festive displays
Amazing historical photos everywhere
Waiters at breakfast (especially Manny) were very caring

The light on the landing disturbed our sleep.

I like the hotel because it is near to the church, downtown, malls and easy access on transportation like jeep and tricycle. Very nice and clean place

Cons:

What I don't like is that they're lack of coordination and there's some lapses especially to the restaurant and to the concierge. They've overcharge us for our buffet which requires an additional payment of ₱245 and we're only 4 pax but my father in law paid for ₱1,122 (fyi they're 2 seniors) however upon checking out we paid again for another ₱490 because it reflects on there slip that we still haven't paid yet well in fact at the restaurant we personally approached the staff that we're now going to pay and asked if the charging is already for 4 of us then he replied "YES", but hoping that this won't happen again in the future.
