Breakfast was good. Was enough portion to start the day.
I didn’t like the BBQ machine which was dirty.
Privacy,comfortable and luxurous.
The smell of the newly built place.
The outdoor onsen and the peaceful atmosphere
The fees to bring your own food and drink are outrageous. We only stayed one night so didn’t bother us but there are limited options in the area and the onsite cafe closes early with limited choices for breakfast and dinner so bringing your own food and drinks should be allowed.
We were advised the following: If you are bring your own food and drinks, a 5,500 yen fee will be charged
This includes cutlery, tableware, glassware rental,
garbage disposal, etc.) Please let us know in advance. Please take care of hygiene control by yourself.
The place was magical! We arrived early February and with the open air private onsen and the snow it was simply mesmerizing. The place fits up to 4 people, the rooms themselves are very warm and cozy compared to the corridors in the cabin, and there’s a rock climbing wall just at our entrance that was entertaining to try out. We arrived quite late (I didn’t pay attention to the check in requirements) and the staff actually waited for us and even sent us the property’s driver (I’m so embarrassed by keeping them late). The next day we had awesome breakfast in the open air seating. It was a delight and would definitely come back again with more people! (Oh and they have games you can borrow at the front cabin)

This was for sure our favorite stay in Japan. What a place. It’s magical, the room is beautiful, the onsen is just amazing, waking up in the morning to watch the snow fall was incredible. We only spent one night there but left with the desire to stay longer.
Everything was great.
Even though it was a separate cabin, as a solo female traveler I felt safe and secure. People working at the counter were kind and helpful, food was great, I loooved the onsen and the view, even when the weather wasn’t perfect. The host also gave me a ride to the bus stop when the weather was really bad and it was hard to go on foot, so I really appreciate it. Also at the cafe there is an old Gramophone and you can enjoy listening to some old records, how amazing is that?
One more thing - I think this property would be perfect for families with children. You can be loud and rowdy inside the cabin (with windows closed of course) without bothering anyone. I even received a JBL speaker from the host and enjoyed some beats and loud music, something that I can’t do in my Japanese apartment. Oh and also if you’re European I recommend setting the onsen to 35, personally I wasn’t able to handle hotter than that.
