Excellent hotel and very reasonably priced.
Pros:

This hotel is in a perfect position on the beach. It is in easy walking distance from several restaurants and a short tuktuk ride into the busier part of the town.
The staff and management are exceptional, happy to cater for your every need.
The hotel is kept spotlessly clean and the breakfast choice was excellent.
I was concerned after reading some of the previous negative reviews. I can’t help but think they may have stayed at a different hotel.
In summary, I would happily choose this hotel when I return to Hikkaduwa in the future.

Cons:

There wasn’t anything to dislike.

Excellent hotel and very reasonably priced
Pros:

Excellent location and a shirt tuktuk ride to the busier area. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice and very fresh food.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is very well run. The manager is very pleasant.

Cons:

Nothing - I will definitely book to stay here again.

Great Licatipn, clean grand room, very good staff
Pros:

The location was very close to beach, the rooms were big enough. Caretaker Nirosha and other staff were very kind and upgraded our room to sea view on higher floor and took care of our requirements as we were pure vegetarians.

Cons:

We cannot rate it 5 star property as mentioned on Booking.com. As we have some premium luxury expectation from 5 stars. But it was true value but better what we paid for.

Me and my family will be coming on next April for 1 week
Pros:

Friendly staff,
They have upgraded my room for free. Wow location was amazing , just 1 minute walking distance to beach. Clean and hygiene room and washroom.
Best English breakfast which I ever had in Southern Sri Lanka.

Pros:

During our stay at Sunset Sands Hikkaduwa, we had an amazing experience. Selvam, the manager, was incredibly accommodating and always willing to assist us. Even though we were only there for one day, we had a very enjoyable visit. It's a very peaceful location with a lovely rooftop with a view of the sea, a swimming pool, two private jacuzzis, and a beach that's just 100 metres away. The room was ideal very clean—it was spacious, and tidy, and had free WiFi, and functional air conditioning.

Pros:

100% of the worth which I paid and expected. Fully furnished and cleaned room, walking distance to the beach. They got a beautiful and clean swimming pool to enjoy and rest. Beautiful view from the hotel's roof top. Me and my family were well treated by thel staff and manager Selvam.

Pros:

Location was really close to beach, and just 2 minutes walking and you will be reached to beach. Excellent furnished and cleaned rooms most important was hotel's swimming pool is very cleaned. Specail thanks to hotel staff Chanaka ,Darshan who takecared us like till we leave the place. And the hotel manager Selvam was very supportive. Best Valued place for the price which I paid.

Actually, there are no beach view rooms here. They don't understand what beach view is. I was surprised to see a beach view from the rooms window of the property itself, so I booked another accommodation.

Worth for money and you get all you need in one place (Gem of Hikkaduwa)
Pros:

Spacious, well equipped rooms, friendly staff, in front of beach with clean pool. Hidden gem in Hikkaduwa. Highly recommended 👍🏻

Pros:

We really enjoyed our stay. Rooms are very big, clean and comformable. In our room we had every facility we needed. Staff and the owners are very friendly and helpful.
We really like the tasty breakfast. Just cross the road you can go to the nice beach and you have a nice sea view when in the massive roof top of the hotel.
Defenetely coming back to spend more time and we like to recommend this lovely place to everybody.
