Our experience at this property was deeply disappointing and nothing short of a nightmare.
To begin with, we had booked a room with a balcony view for which we paid extra. However, the room had severe seepage issues, with water leaking from the roof and dripping onto the bed. We had to request multiple times for someone to clean the seepage and stop the water from coming in, but the staff showed little urgency. Even after our repeated complaints, the issue persisted, making it impossible to sleep as water droplets continued to fall on the bed. For a property charging extra for such a room, this was unacceptable and downright neglectful.
The issues didn’t stop there. When we requested an extension of our booking, the owner initially assured us it was possible at a similar price and promised to confirm the next day. However, he doubled the price at the last minute, citing the peak season, leaving us with no alternative.
Additionally, there was no electricity for most of our stay, and this seemed deliberate as neighboring properties had power. Without electricity, we couldn’t use the heater or geyser, both of which we had paid extra for. The most frustrating part was being unable to charge our phones, forcing us to go to nearby cafes just to stay connected.
When we raised these concerns, the owner, not a manager but the property owner, was extremely rude and dismissive. His behavior, especially towards the women in our group, was appalling. He spoke in a disrespectful tone, telling us to “go find another hotel” if we weren’t satisfied and adding that we would “have to pay double elsewhere.” Such remarks were not only unprofessional but also highly offensive.
The combination of poor maintenance, lack of basic amenities like electricity, and the owner’s shockingly rude and disrespectful behavior made our stay unbearable. This property is not worth the money, and the owner’s attitude shows a complete disregard for guest comfort and dignity.
