A very solid modern new hotel, that checks all the boxes, that could stand in Germany. Austria or Alto Adige
Rooms are nice modern designs and are spacious,
The spa and pool area is fantastic.
We really enjoyed the food in the onsite restaurant
That we couldn’t stay longer
Good location
The walls felt paper thin. If somebody in the room next to you is snoring or talking at a moderate volume it feel like they are in your room. This was my biggest disappointment. The number 1 thing you want from a hotel is a decent night's sleep. If you can't do that then whatever else doesn't matter, even if it's perfect. But other things were far from perfect.
Not to mention it is terribly overpriced. At this price you need to either drastically improve your service or be cheaper.
I didn't like the service at the bar. The bartender lady seemed to be participating in the "who can shout the loudest" contest the entire night and she clearly didn't like the local wines. I understand if you have personal preferences, but in Fredericksburg where people mostly coms for the wine, you should at lest try to respect the local traditions. Her tone and overall manners did not seem nice to me, too lied, too rude, too rough.
The spa was hugely overpriced, with 20% mandatory gratuity and mediocre service. Massage man, take care of your hands, you touch people with those, yours felt course like sandpaper. Also, still laughing for no reason and being so chatty, I'm trying to relax.
Food was good, but again, way too expensive. You can get a meal just as good half a few blocks away at half the price.
Overall huge disappointment. Couldn't force myself to spend my second night there, even though I paid for it. The reception people didn't care at all though. You're leaving without completing your stay? Good, get lost, loser, not like I care.
Never ever going back again. Good luck.
The location was great.
Rooms are "ambient" Not a lot of light if you need that.
We absolutely loved staying at this hotel! We even booked an extra night and modified our holiday itinerary because it was just such a great location and set up. Loved the pool. Beautiful decor. Melissa was a wonderful manager. Highly recommend!
Noise from the HVAC on level 3. Poor sanitation practices from young male bar staff. Breakfast finishing at 11am. “Resort” fees.
Great location
Casual Texas Hill Country feel
Over-priced new build hotel. Trying to be five star but service and basics letting it down. Stayed in one of two suites which was huge but essentially a soulless green box with no views only tiny slithers of glass eight feet high. Felt like a prison despite the size. Not worth the price. The images of the old style Texan hotel frontage are misleading - the hotel is a sprawling new build around the back. No coffee/tea making facilities in the room - you have to go to the lobby and serve yourself some communal coffee! $500 a night for this level of service? Not worth it. And charged $25 amenity fee on top of this for the spa and pool - which we didn’t use. Surely all hotel facilities are included in a $500 rate?! The hotel company have taken over several buildings on Main Street as other food and beverage outlets but branded as differing chi chi offerings - all unauthentic and not the real Fredericksburg.
Great design
Great bar!
There was no coffee maker in room and though stated to be complimentary - when ordered by room phone it never came either time we ordered. So is it really complimentary if it's not provided? The rooms had no full length mirror, very little surface space (no bedside tables or credenza). There are no chairs - just a low wood bench along the wall and a window seat. Terrible design and not conducive for anything but sleep.

Newness
No coffee pot in room
No fruitiness center
Great location off the main street lovely hotel and staff. All staff welcoming and approachable. Spotlessly clean . Nice restaurant /bar and outdoor eating area overlooking the pool. Pool area lovely however seating once again very low.
Stayed in a sunken king room only one window and room quite dark. All furnishings at a low level in the room difficult if unable to bend.
The shower is so good, some sort of magical showerhead!
Located right near the center of all the main street stuff, so easy to walk around
Staff were all great
Nicely renovated, great location
We did not sleep at all. The walls are very thin, the doors are so heavy and loud when they are closed, Everytime we woke up. We had dogs all around us, they were barking and the owner took the dogs out for walks the entire night and mornings. It was horrible.
