Marala Hotel was relaxing, comfortable and remains at the top of our accommodations choices for our busy travel week. O
Pros:

Everything about Marala Hotel spoke “pampered”. Sleeping rooms and bathrooms were large, well furnished. Perched on a hillside the property felt private and included a serene ocean view. Our 12 year old traveling companion was so delighted with the pool and swim-up food and drink service that he stayed there every moment he was awake leaving us to our adult conversation and meals while he remained in view. The staff was the best feature of all. They were attentive and kind. You could tell they liked working there which implies compliments to the management.

Cons:

Nothing really. It was my choice to guarantee our room at a higher price but once there, it didn’t seem necessary for our midweek one night stay. Nothing wrong with that business approach. The pricing was fair and the value definitely worth it.

Mi estadía en el hotel fue muy agradable, especialmente por las comodidades y espacios que ofrece. El restaurante destaca por su desayuno incluido, que cuenta con un menú bastante variado, lleno de opciones para todos los gustos. Cada plato que probamos tenía un tamaño generoso, excelente sabor y una presentación cuidada. El personal es muy atento, lo que suma significativamente a la experiencia. Además, desde el restaurante se disfruta de una vista espectacular al mar y a la piscina principal, lo que hace que la experiencia sea aún mejor.
El hotel cuenta con dos piscinas: la principal, ubicada cerca del restaurante y del bar, donde la vista es realmente impresionante; y una segunda piscina más tranquila y relajada, situada cerca del área de los bungalows. Es importante mencionar que ambas piscinas son relativamente hondas, por lo que quienes no saben nadar deben tener especial cuidado.
En cuanto al alojamiento, los bungalows son espaciosos y se cuenta con una cocina compartida completamente equipada con utensilios, perfecta para quienes deseen preparar sus propias comidas (aunque es necesario llevar todos los ingredientes). Un punto a considerar es que el aislamiento de ruido en estas habitaciones (los bungalows) no es el mejor, por lo que puede resultar molesto si los vecinos no son muy considerados.
El hotel también ofrece un amplio parqueo, con varias opciones bajo la sombra de árboles, lo cual se agradece en días soleados.
En general, una opción muy completa y cómoda, ideal para descansar y disfrutar del entorno.

Cons:

Aunque el menu del hotel fue excelente, las comidas para almuerzos y cenas, asi como las bebidas del bar, tienen un costo bastante elevado, aunque considerando el tamaño de las porciones y la calidad de los productos, el precio resulta justificable, pero es importante tenerlo en cuenta al momento de planificar el presupuesto del viaje.
Algo a tomar en cuenta es que durante toda la estadía el jacuzzi nunca estuvo en funcionamiento, lo cual fue un detalle un poco decepcionante.

La habitación y la vista tanto de la habitación como del hotel en general nos encantaron, rodeado de naturaleza, todo el personal super amable, muy tranquilo, apenas para un finde para relajarse.

Cons:

No nos afecto, pero tomar en cuenta que esta al.frente de la carretera principal, por lo que si se escucha los sonidos de motor de los camiones que pasan. Y en la habitación el aire sonaba mucho en la noche.

After our 2 week vacation in Costa Rica we chose the Marala Hotel as our final destination. The staff were courteous, kind and helpful to our every needs. The grounds were well manicured. Our room was very spacious with 2 king beds. The meal choice at breakfasts was amazing as was the lunches by the pool and the amazing choices for dinner. The sun sets from the pool were spectacular. Definitely will return for another stay.

Pros:

Het is een prachtig hotel met een waanzinnig uitzicht. Ontbijt was a-la carte en ook top. Hele relaxte sfeer bij het zwembad, goed personeel. Heerlijk bed en douche.

Cons:

We werden om 05:30 wakker van een herrie, alsof de boel verbouwd werd boven. Bij de receptie wisten ze van niks.

So glad we stayed there!
Pros:

Tina was super friendly and took care of us when we arrived way too early for check in. We really enjoyed the pool!
