Strandhotel
Pros:

Lage direkt am Strand, bei Flut schön zum Baden, wir bekamen ein Upgrade auf einen Bungalow in erster Strandlage, da das Hotel überbucht war. Das Essen war gut, ist aber im Vergleich zu unseren anderen 4 Hotels auf Sansibar abgefallen.

Cons:

Die Anlage und die Zimmer sind renovierungsbedürftig, das Restaurant hat den Charme einer Kantine, die Restaurantterrasse ist schön gelegen.
Was gar nicht geht: Das Hotel war überbucht und wir wurden die 1. Nacht im nebenan gelegenen Hotel untergebracht. Wir reisen wirklich viel ( pro Jahr 40 bis 50 Hotels), aber das ist uns noch nirgends auf der Welt passiert.
Das Hotel ist definitiv kein 4* Hotel, es war im Vergleich zu unseren anderen Hotels am schlechtesten.

Trés bien
Pros:

Le personnel (animateur, serveuses etc..) est top !! Toujours souriant et à nos petits soins. Petit hôtel calme et familial donc si vous souhaitez la grande ambiance allez ailleurs. Les repas "buffet" sont simples mais variés et excellents ! Petit conseil: choisir une chambre autre que standard car elles sont vétustes et méritent un grand rafraichissement. Allez à la rencontre de la population au village d'à côté, à quelques minutes à pied, ça en vaut la peine ! Le cadre est magnifique et la marée ne gêne en rien car la piscine est super.

Cons:

Une des 2 chambres réservées (standard) vraiment vétustes (surtout la salle de bain), filet d'eau à la douche, climatisation qui a rarement marché et générateur (en marche suite aux coupures électriques) juste à côté de la chambre...
Un peu loin de tout, comptez plus d'une heure de route pour aller à vos excursions ou bien prenez des nuits à cet hôtel en "étape"pour vous reposer.

Мягкие матрацы на лежаках. И размер номера.

Cons:

Очень уставший отель , мах 3 звезды. Не дают зубные щетки и тапочек , очень плохой напор в кране. Сколы на плитке пола. Скрипучая кровать , шатается как на шарнирах.

Pros:

Danke Hana für die super Betreuung im Hotel, er ist sehr aufmerksam und versuchte gute Lösungen für unsere Anliegen zu finden. Das Essen war recht einfach aber überdurchschnittlich gut, die Lage super diekt am Sandstrand mit Liegen.

Cons:

Die Hotelanlage entspricht leider eher einem 2-3 ☆ Hotel in Österreich und gehört renoviert (Häuser, Pool), v. A. der Sanitärbereich gehört saniert. Somit zu teuer für den gebotenen Standard.

Mandarin Resort – Beyond Everything I Imagined Paradise in Zanzibar Could Be
Pros:

Everything, absolutely everything, exceeded my expectations. Mandarin Resort truly surpassed them a hundredfold. We stayed on an All Inclusive basis and were all genuinely impressed by the food – a wonderful variety of local dishes and fresh fruits, as well as excellent options for those who prefer European cuisine.

The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, cleaned daily with remarkable attention to detail. Every evening the housekeeping staff even offers mosquito spraying in the rooms upon request, which shows real care for the guests’ comfort.

The outdoor areas are beautifully landscaped, with palm trees, flowers and lush green lawns that create a perfect atmosphere for relaxation.

Unlike many other hotels in Zanzibar, where power outages are quite common, here this issue has been fully resolved, ensuring uninterrupted comfort throughout the stay.

As for the beach – it looks like a postcard from paradise. Fine, sparkling white sand, the typical shallow waters of Zanzibar, and a clear turquoise sea that is wonderfully calm, ideal both for swimming and for small children. And the sunsets… they will remain in my heart forever.

What impressed me the most, however, was the hotel staff, who never for a moment left us without care or attention. Special thanks to the manager, Hanna. I have visited many luxury hotels around the world, but I have never before encountered a manager so genuinely dedicated to his work. He takes care of every detail so that, by the end of the day, there is not a single dissatisfied guest. Even when circumstances are beyond his control, he still does everything possible to ensure that guests feel cared for and have everything they need.

I truly cannot think of a single reason not to choose Mandarin Resort when visiting Zanzibar.

Pros:

My Zanzibar name is Simba. All the staff were very friendly and professional. Hana, the restaurant manager, was an absolute delight, and would go out of his way to make sure you had everything you needed. Everybody were very welcoming and made our stay fantastic. Our stay at the resort had only a few couples and families which became a holiday family. Better than a busy resort in some ways for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful views from the pool area. The pool by the way was as warm as a bath, the sea was amazingly warm also. A beautiful place to go. the trips were also very good. Check the temperatures before you go, it can get unbearably hot in the summer months.

Cons:

Everybody were so polite, but it can get annoying getting stopped on the beach with people trying to sell.

Pros:

Отличный уединенный отель на берегу океана! Здесь вы не найдете туристических толп и развлечений, только релакс! У нас было большое бунгало на берегу океана с собственным маленьким бассейном. Завтраки, обеды и ужины на высоте, единственное не было морепродуктов. Заказывали ужин по спец меню, персонал устроил для нас романтический ужин на берегу океана в окружении лепестков роз. Каждый вечер до 22:00 в ресторане была различная программа, утром на бассейне проходил фитнес. Океан чистейший, бюризового цвета, вода была утром и вечером, днем сильный отлив. Спасибо!

Very nice place and very nice small cozy hotel.
Pros:

Amazing location, very cool crew, nice rooms and quite tasty food. The manager (Hanna) really took care of us: Taking feedback regarding our food preferences and organised amazing pool breakfast. Highly recommend!

Cons:

It was a bit tough to talk with people at reception.

Hôtel familial bien situé.
Pros:

Hôtel a taille humaine et familial.
L'emplacement est parfait proche du village de Kizimkabi.
Le personnel très sympathique, nous avons passé la soirée du jour de l'an avec un jolie show, je recommande.
Les chambres sont spacieuses.
Magdi Wadie le gérant et sa femme très sympathique et accueillant.
Pour la formule all inclusive le rapport qualité prix est bien.

Cons:

Manque de renseignement à notre arrivée sur les activités à faire.


Il y a pas mal de chose à revoir, les transats sont vieillissant, manque de parasol sur le bord de plage pour avoir de l'ombre.
La climatisation de la chambre est à réviser elle fait très peu de froid.
Le buffet est souvent répétitif mais de bonne qualité.
Un rafraîchissement sur la structure du bord de plage embellirai ce lieu.
Prévoir vos $ pas de change Euros Dollars à l'hôtel.
