Value for money, great hospitality
Pros:

The host family were extremely hospitable. They checked in with me days before my arrival, arranged for an airport pick-up, and went out if their way to make my stay comfortable.

Safe for Solo traveller. Great location
Pros:

The hospitality of the family. The location is super. The patio overlooks the river with much activity of Shikaras, the Boulevard across with the mountain as a backdrop. Close to many good restaurants and cafes.

Other luxury houseboats taking lots of money and misbehaving with the customer... If you r looking for a redcarpet Houseboat with abusive language go with other houseboat
