Pros:

Sehr freundlich geführtes Hotel, sehr gute Lage. Bushaltestelle sehr nah, Busse fahren alle 15 Minuten ins Zentrum.

Cons:

Matratze für mich etwas zu hart.

Es war wunderschön in Castagnola und wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt!
Pros:

Im Preis inbegriffen war das Frühstück, welches im Untergeschoss liegenden Restaurant (7/7) eingenommen werden konnte. Hier treffen sich morgens, neben den Hotelgästen, auch Einheimische und es fiel schnell auf, dass es hier sehr wertschätzend und herzlich zuging. Eine tolle Atmosphäre italiana! Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Ob deftig oder süß - es war alles vorhanden. Einen Abend aßen wir im hauseigenen Restaurant - es war suuuperlecker und wir ärgern uns, nicht allabendlich dort gegessen zu haben, denn von anderen Lokalitäten im Centro (Tourifang) waren wir sehr enttäuscht. Die Lage (Castagnola) ist perfekt! Hier hat man die meiste Abendsonne. Das Hotel ist problemlos mit dem Bus der Linien 2 oder 12 erreichbar - die Busse fahren alle 15 Minuten. Einen eigenen Parkplatz besitzt das Hotel nicht. Etwas unterhalb der Straße sind wenige Parkplätze (weiß), die kostenpflichtig sind - wir waren froh, dass das Hotel dies managte.
Unweit des Hotels ist die Standseilbahn zu finden, die hoch zum Monte Brè führt. Hier hat man eine sagenhafte Aussicht über den See, den Monte San Savatore, Lugano, die Mont Blanc Gruppe und vieles mehr! Wir saßen sehr lange in der Osteria Funicolare in der Abendsonne und erholten uns dort schnell von unserer Wanderung zum Dorf Brè und zum Sasso Rosso.

Cons:

Neben 2 Sorten Wurst, hätten wir uns neben der einen Sorte Käse, eine weitere Variante gewünscht. An drei Morgenden gab es ausschließlich Emmentaler Scheiben. Wir denken, die Schweiz hat so viele, tolle Käsesorten zu bieten, da wäre eine zweite oder sogar dritte Sorte möglich gewesen. Doch in Italien ist ein süßes Brioche mit Kaffee eben Standard und deftige Speisen am Morgen eher untypisch - und mein Kommentar eben nur als kleine, deutsche Meckerei anzusehen. :-)

Die Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter des Hotels sind alle sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Wir mussten kurzfristig wegen einer Autopanne dort übernachten und obwohl wir sehr spät kamen, wurde alles noch organisiert. Auch unser Hund war willkommen.

Un hôtel plein de charme
Pros:

J'ai beaucoup apprécié la gentillesse et la serviabilité du personnel. L'endroit est calme, à 7 mn de Lugano avec un bus qui passe tous les quart d'heure presque devant l'hôtel (no 2 et 12). Le parking est en face ce qui est très pratique. Le lit est grand et très confortable, depuis la fenêtre on pouvait voir le lac. Le restaurant est fort sympathique et la nourriture excellente. J'ai mangé des linguine "home made" délicieuses.
Je recommande chaleureusement cet hôtel.

Cons:

Le fait qu'il n'y ait pas d'ascenseur.
