Best homestay ever
Pros:

Absolutely delightful homestay, we kept on coming back and back here every time we found ourselves in Colombo! The house is in a great neighbourhood, the owner and her son are so incredibly sweet and helpful, and the room is all we could have asked for - clean, spacious, with good aircon and with hot water always available. Cannot explain even how much we enjoyed our stay here, and we cannot recommend it enough!

Pros:

We had the most wonderful stay at Leisure Home. Madhu and her son are such wonderful and attentive hosts - felt just like home.

Room was clean, spacious and bright. The surrounding garden is filled with nature and birds singing. We even saw fireflies from the balcony.

Breakfast was excellent. Wonderful people.

Thank you for a wonderful stay. Would come back without hesitating.

Cons:

Honestly, we didn't have a single complaint.

El alojamiento es una casa con bastante encanto y un jardín en medio de esa bullicio de ciudad, la señora muy agradable y colaboradora

Creo que necesita ser actualizada la casa en fin, un poco de mantenimiento le viene bien Paredes incluso cambiar el colchón

Stay here!
Pros:

The host and her son are wonderful, kind and super friendly people! They made our stay perfect. The breakfast was incredible. Our room was comfortable and clean, there was AC and a fan and a nice bathroom. The location was really good, close to some great restaurants and supermarkets, and a close cheap tuktuk to the centre. Would definitely recommend this stay, most of all for the incredible host!

meravigliosa accoglienza
Pros:

eccezionale in tutto, dall'accoglienza alla colazione, gestito da madre e figlio gentilissimi e premurosi in tutto. Per noi è stata la prima tappa del nostro viaggio in Sri lanka ed è stata fondamentale per ambientarci e prendere tutti i suggerimenti. Il figlio ci è venuto a prendere in aeroporto per una tariffa conveniente e ci ha riportato a destinazione.
Colazioni meravigliose co succo fresco, frutta, e ogni mattina specilità dolci e salate diverse

Cons:

non è vicinissimo al centro della città ma ci sono tuc tuc che ti portano senza dover spendere troppo

The more we stayed, the worse it got
Pros:

The host family has been nice for first several days of our stay. The location is relatively calm among other places we have stayed at. There are several shops and restaurants relatively close that are reachable by taxi or tuktuk.

Cons:

The more we've stayed, the more rules they have pulled out of their sleeves.
The price is not cheap, $20 per night, in other, more developed countries you get much better rooms for cheaper.
Here the light has been insufficient, we've had constant problems with electricity, there is even a rule that we cant eat at our room (what? we've rented it, during the stay its ours). I got the feeling that the owner just implied that we had to pay for meals that are not even that good.
The place has been quite dirty yet they had audacity to tell us to throw away the trash every day due to ant infestation.
No fridge in the room. We had to put our stuff in the host family's fridge which has always been full so not much space for us.
There's been some problem with the lock. The owner has told us to leave it as she always stays at home but of course its a bad way to deal with problems.
The host is quite loud, early in the morning i had to hear her exclaims and frankly got so tired of it

Overall, I recommend coming for 1-2 days only. We have ended up staying for a week and got treatment like we are unwanted guests even though we have brought money to their family than average foreigners who stay for a couple of days.
