Das Frühstück in der Boulangerie neben an ist auch eine gute Idee. Die Anlage ist einfach aber schön und sauber gehalten.

Our experience at Paradise Sunset Bungalows was extremely disappointing due to misleading advertising and poor treatment by management.
We booked what was listed as a “Bungalow” or “Family Room” at a higher price than similar options on the island because it advertised amenities like a private fridge, minibar, patio, BBQ, terrace, and washer/dryer. The photos also showed a beautiful private bungalow.
After paying upon arrival, we were taken to a small room above a building with a hostel-style setup: shared fridge, shared patio, shared BBQ—everything was shared. None of the advertised private amenities existed.
When we raised this issue the next morning, reception said it was out of their control. After multiple attempts to contact management, we finally spoke to someone who responded by raising their voice and blaming us, saying we should have known those amenities couldn’t fit in the room.
They then offered to move us to a real bungalow for an additional $120 USD. We reluctantly agreed and paid, only to be placed in an apartment instead, as they claimed the bungalows were no longer available—after taking our money. The apartment had a strong sewage smell in the bathroom and common areas, suggesting plumbing issues.
To make matters worse, we rented a scooter at 4pm and returned it the following day at checkout, yet were charged for two full days because they count the night as part of a 24-hour period—this was never clearly explained.
Overall, this place is misleading, poorly managed, and not worth the price. There are many more honest and affordable options on Easter Island. I strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

Solo me gustó su ubicación
Reservé en Paraíso Sunset Bungalows guiándome por la descripción publicada y el valor de la estadía, esperando un estándar acorde. Lamentablemente, la experiencia no cumple con lo que se proyecta.
La mención de espacios como sala de estar y comedor induce razonablemente a pensar en un alojamiento con mayor nivel de independencia. Sin embargo, en la práctica se trata de una habitación con áreas compartidas, lo cual no queda suficientemente claro al momento de reservar.
Si bien valoro que se me haya permitido ajustar parcialmente la estadía, lo cierto es que las condiciones del lugar hacen difícil sostener una experiencia de descanso adecuada. La habitación presenta una temperatura excesiva y ventilación deficiente, situación que fue atribuida a la isla, pero que no corresponde a mi experiencia previa en Rapa Nui ni a lo que pude comprobar al cambiarme a otro alojamiento cercano con condiciones óptimas.
Adicionalmente, se presentaron factores que afectan directamente la habitabilidad, como la presencia de insectos nocturnos al intentar ventilar, el ingreso de un gato durante la noche y restricciones en el uso de la cocina que no se informan de manera clara previamente.
No es mi primera vez en la isla, por lo que tengo un punto de comparación real respecto a los estándares que se pueden ofrecer en el destino. En ese contexto, considero que la relación precio-calidad no es acorde a lo que se proyecta.
Recomendaría a futuros huéspedes verificar en detalle las condiciones reales antes de reservar, especialmente si buscan comodidad, privacidad y un estándar acorde al valor.

You can see the ocean at the end of the driveway. It’s close to grocery/convenience stores and restaurants. Staff were extremely helpful in assisting with the excursions. Included breakfast was delicious.

Great location on Easter Island. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They arranged a rental car and a tour for us, provided good advice on restaurants and even shared fresh bananas with us. The room was warm but there was an air conditioner in our unit. We had a view of the sea and there was a nice food truck restaurant complex right by the facility. Breakfast was next door at a coffee shop which also was very good. We felt welcome and they contacted us via WhatsApp to know if we needed anything. If we come back, this is where we would stay....very inviting!
The afternoon sun heated the room greatly. A blackout curtain would definitely help cool the unit. (Unit 1).
