Prezzo esagerato per quello che ti viene dato
Pros:

Niente

Cons:

Esterni trascurati, camera non funzionale, bagno micro dentro alla porta armadio. Non so dove finisca il bohemian ed inizi il caos.

Wouldn’t go back or recommend. Needs a major overhaul. 3 star max
Pros:

Didn’t have breakfast

Cons:

The outside photo isn’t a true photo of the hotel- it desperately needs an overhaul. From the front door it’s dirty and spider webs everywhere. The rooms are dated with spider webs in each corner. Then while having a shower someone knocked on the door to say there was water running in downstairs and asked what we were upto

Eccentric, welcoming, friendly; personified by the ex ice hockey player, host, chef, baker,? Democrat.
Pros:

AN eclectic and eccentric hotel which at first sight looks down at heel but do not be put off. It is like a Tardis; from the outside the appearance is rather tired, almost off putting, but inside , although the furnishings similarly reflect some age, the atmosphere within this wonderful hostelry is hard to quantify. The staff are simply the best; approachable , affable, interesting and helpful. The whisky bar I first entered was entertaining young families to supper but I was directed to small bar behind a previously undisclosed doorway which upon entry it appeared that half the town were enjoying the delightful atmosphere. The beer and wine flowed in a highly satisfactory manner , the menu leant towards American in character (reflecting the owner"s origins) but quantity, quality of food, and preparation were pleasing. There is no doubt that my wife and my 2 Australian friends enjoyed every moment...... but do not go expecting perfection.....just enjoyable caring company in an eccentric stopover, the memories of which will remain with you for a long time.

Cons:

There was not a lounge to relax in but the bar was very welcoming!

Simply loved the location, food and welcome
Pros:

The breakfasts were exceptional. Poached eggs cooked to perfection and homemade bread was delicious. The staff were very friendly and efficient (Avril) I particular. Location was perfect, a very short walk down to the beach

Cons:

If I had to request anything… a small fridge?

Obviously impossible for the room we were in but a sink in the bathroom would be ideal.

I would definitely stay again

A charming traditional Scottish hotel with an excellent restaurant, friendly staff and a perfect central location.
Pros:

We stayed at The Anderson with our group of six friends and enjoyed its authentic Scottish character and excellent location right in the heart of Fortrose. Some of the rooms on the second floor have been renovated, while those on the first floor are more traditional and could benefit from some updating.

The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, and the restaurant was excellent, serving delicious food. Breakfast was good, although it wasn’t our favourite of the trip.

Cons:

The only downsides were the hot water issues for the showers and the noticeable dampness in the first-floor rooms, with dehumidifiers provided and some mould stains visible on the curtains. Despite these points, we had a pleasant stay and appreciated the hotel’s charm and convenient location.
