Pros:

What a find. The rooms all look out across a extensive lawn leading down to a lake lined with trees. We were there as the autumn colours began to appear. It was simply beautiful. The rooms are purpose built with pitched roofs. Each has a wood burner which made it really cosy. We were there for just one night. We had dinner and breakfast. Both meals were really good. If we had been able to stay longer this would have been a great place to unwind.

It was truly a lovely experience. I got engaged on our last night
Pros:

The breakfast was amazing. All meals well thought out and executed. I'm vegetarian and they accommodated my food preferences. We had a boat ride which was so amazing and calming. There's enough privacy and the electric blankets were very thoughtful. Great place for relaxation

Cons:

That we didn't have a fridge or microwave to keep drinks that we brought from outside cool and heat up leftovers. There were also no towels which we would’ve really appreciated

Beautiful location

Cons:

Cottage was too complicated to get in and out of with multiple locks on multiple doors, would stay in the main hotel, but the hassle of getting in and out of the cottage would put me off staying in the cottage again.

Too expensive for the experience!!!!
Pros:

The place was lovely, and the fireplace super.

Cons:

We could only check in at 16:00, which is very very late in comparison to most accommodation. On arrival they were not ready and we had to wait an extra half an hour. Just after midnight we received a message saying check out was at 10:00. It felt as if they could not wait to get rid of us. It made the experience unpleasant and cold. We received the smallest bundle of firewood for the fireplace imaginable and had to go and buy some more. For the price we paid, it felt like we were done in. Although the place is beautiful and the breakfast lovely, we will definitely not be returning and also not recommend it to friends.
