The views are nice . This place has a lot of potential if only it was managed well.

Cons:

As we arrived for dinner staff were all sitting on the restaurant couches in front of the fire place . Restaurant is dated and run down. Room has dodgey old furniture in in with old sigarette burn marks . Definitely NOT worth booking here. For the same price you can book alternative luxury accomodation in Dullstroom. Unfortunately the management here is floating about and not upto standard . Bathrooms in the main restaurant smells of URINE!!!!!! So you can imagine you can’t enjoy your dinner there .

Beautiful but room for improvement
Pros:

It has an amazing scenery, extremely calming & beautiful.

Cons:

Thin Walls! You can hear almost everything from the next room be it coughing, laughing, conversations, showering etc. This made my evenings unbearable.

Accommodation looks amazing I dislike open toilet for me it’s a big no
Pros:

Try to do buffet breakfast with cappuccino and juices included as other places

Cons:

Toilet is a private place to relief yourself can’t be open that you busy helping yourself someone is watching you it feels uncomfortable like you in cell in jail

We will stay again at Dunkeld East!
Pros:

The menu had a good variety. The food was great. The portion sizes were good. The prices were great! Overall relaxed vibe was nice. Dry and clean towels every day. Fireplace helped nicely with the cold evenings. Internet connection great. Having hot water anytime of day was nice.

Cons:

No refill of coffee and creamer every day, as we stayed 4 nights.

Pros:

Good location

Cons:

The welcome and reception on arrival wasnt great.The stand alone Chalet is an old farmhouse and not great and over priced.
Kitchen and Utensils old
1 bathroom and 1 toilet not ideal for a house that sleeps 6.
Not recommended.

One of the best vacation stays for me. I would recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday
Pros:

I enjoyed the nature, tranquility and serene environment of the area. The birds and the lake made for a spectacular setting.

The walking trail was amazing with the forest and wildlife around. It was a worthwhile experience
