The corner where the hotel sits seems to be the hangout corner for the community. It can get a little loud on the streets right outside your window.

Cons:

Portail de l’hostel fermé par un cadenas, on est toujours obligé d’appeler le personnel pour sortir et rentrer. Ça donne l’impression de devoir leur demander la permission…

Les affiches indiquent 2 choix possibles pour le petit-déjeuner mais finalement le matin il n’y avait qu’une option. Le mieux serait donc de retirer les affiches…

A simple hotel with an odd door system and a little miscommunication around a taxi
Pros:

This was a convenient place to wait in whilst I whittled away the day waiting for my plane from the airport down the road.

The first host was pleasant enough

Free water and other amenities were available for guests.

Cons:

My upcoming criticism may seem harsh but it's grounded in the expectation of sufficient customer service.

I booked this room to wait in as my plane was scheduled for a rather late departure. I told the first host that I would need a taxi booked for an ungodly hour, she agreed to this and confirmed a rough price and that the host on the evening shift would complete the taxi booking.

Dusk sprang upon us all and I asked the evening host if she had received instructions to book a taxi for the unholy hour aforementioned. It was confirmed that she had received the command and would do so.

I left the property to enjoy a final Nicaraguan supper.

After whittling away the hours further, I departed the room and began checking out. However it had turned out that the evening host had not booked the taxi, the evening host even asked me if wanted to book it myself.

This is very poor customer service. I had specifically asked for the hotel to pre-book a taxi as I was uncertain if I would be able to hail one at such a late hour and I did not want to leave the booking last minute.

Luck has it that a taxi driver was found by the evening host and it whisked me to the airport.

In terms of the property, the host has to let you in and out of the property at all times. I never had any trouble or any long waiting times but it feels unfair on the poor hosts to be waiting around all day and night.

Basic room, normal value for money. Very friendly staff! Pick up from airport for $10 was worth it, if you just arrived in the country (cheapest option is inDrive which is ~$8). Driver even went to the ATM with me. Good breakfast. Good AC.
