Location was right in the middle of Sapa
The property was a bit dirty, the building is quite old and I think we were the only guest at that time.
The location, just by the sunplaza. Also the staffs are being super helpful although there were language barriers.
It’s not the most hygienic place. Especially the communal area. The room was fine. The hot water goes out fast especially in the cold weather. Luckily the AC was working fine as a heater as well, enough to keep the room warm in the cold.
The staff were really helpful and available. Locate in good location, but not loud. Great value for money. We were in one of the newer rooms, and it was lovely.
The sheets on one bed was little stained.
Location is so near Sapa station.
The property is old. CR was not cleaned when we checked in, I had to do it myself. If you need AC, the remote is in the reception. They will not ask you upfront, you need to figure out yourself. No water bottles provided.
- the view was great
- It's like being on a building site. Some of the rooms are still unfinished. Then I was woken up today at 8:30 by the constant noise of a drill being used in another room.
- the walls are very thin and everything is easy to hear, so you can hear every little thing from other rooms or from the hallway.
- The “extractor fan” in the bathroom is an open square hole in the wall with direct access to the hallway. This means even less privacy.
- the room itself was very unclean. There was still paint residue on my bedspread. The floor was covered in dust and/or dirt. Under the beds, it appears that they are never mopped or vacuumed. The dirt is compacted there like snow in winter.
Good location ,hot shower ,good view
Room was dirty
Great location, amazing view from the hotel and the bedroom.
Not clean and there is a hole in the bathroom so you can hear everything so there is no privacy and bad sleep.
Good location, good price
For those planning to arrive at night!
It is written that there is a reception that is open 24 hours. In practice we told them we would arrive at 3:00am and no one was there to receive us. Answer the phone only to our taxi driver.
In addition, the air conditioner did not work and we had to wake up the hotel owner from his room to help us turn it on. very unpleasant
The view from the room is lovely. The beds are comfortable.
We could here noise coming from other rooms.
For a two star hotel it is fine. The room is large, the bathroom very large. The view is great. The location in the centre of town is excellent!
It is fine for a two star, though the reception desk is usually unmanned. Just shout for attention and you will found.
Friendly staff, help you out when ever needed. Also booked a nice private hiking tour.
Due to heavy thunderstorm the ceiling leaked water inside my room and I had to change rooms.
Also there was mold in the room, including one cockroach.
Also the bed was dirty with holes in the sheets.
In addition, contrary to the big VISA sign at the door, only cash was accepted.
This was a good value for the money. Our room had 2 beds and a small balcony, hot water, and a private bathroom.
We had a strange experience here. First, we got in at night and they didn’t give us the AC remote so we had to ask for it and they said we could have it after dinner.. we came back and got the remote and then showered. My towel had a hole the size of my fist in it (and other small holes). I texted her to ask for another towel and she said no because it was late. She was awake and provided a torn up towel so I was confused but got a new towel the next day.
We rented a motorbike from them. It was cheap but terrible. You couldn’t see the speedometer or gas gauge, the rear view mirrors were angled down and couldn’t adjust so they were useless, and there were scrapes holes and rusted parts. We put our stuff in the seat storage and headed into a village. Once there, we couldn’t figure out how to open the compartment, so I called her. She asked why we needed it open and had no idea how the bike worked and asked me to find a villager to help. Eventually (30 minutes or so) she called the owner of the bike and he told me how to open it.
One day I was getting changed, and a woman walked into our room without knocking first. She saw me fully nude. She said sorry but I wanted to know why she entered in the first place. When I asked her she said “don’t worry”. So I texted the owner and she asked me if I was confused because the girl went to the room next to ours. I told her I was sure that she walked into our room and saw me nude, and she eventually apologized.
The walls are very thin so you can hear everything your neighbor is saying. I thought our neighbors were just loud at first. They also let you smoke inside the hallway and there are holes in the wall, so cigarette smoke gets into your room.
On our final night, the AC stopped working around 11 pm. I texted her about it and no reply, so we used the fan. At 7 am she called my phone and I ignored it because I was sleeping. Then she came and knocked on our door several times at 7 am.
