Friendly atmosphere, central location, friendly staff
Lack of mini fridge to keep items cool
Excellent breakfast, lots of choice and very reasonable price. Location excellent, no parking but not far from car parks , there is a bay to park in to drop off/collect luggage. Lovely friendly staff.
Room was spotless but a little ‘tired’.
Lovely staff
Room needs some attention. Bath side broken ceiling needs repair
Convenient, easy access and ideal for overnight stay for a show at theatre by the lake
Noisy we were right next to a boiler or something which kept kicking in every few minutes. Bathroom although clean desperately needed an upgrade
Very hot in room , no fan , no fan offered , and no fan when we asked for one ,
Room to hot and no ventilation
A very central location in Keswick. A very comfortable room.
Fantastic location
Good location had character
A little bit dirty and needed a refresh wall paper peeling off and furniture need a paint.
The staff are very helpful and accommodating
Very old interior, not value for money from my experience with other places I used nearby.
Central hotel- no parking. But there is payable parking nearby.
Check in was good.
Food was good.
One polite member of staff at reception. One polite waitress.
One member of staff extremely rude,
Both ours rooms 4 & 3 were filthy. Black mould are dirty.
Asked for the bathroom to be cleaned on arrival the girl beginning with S was helpful and pleasant. She apologised and said they would do and clearly didn’t. Went to speak to another lady and her attitude was rude, saying it was the shower door silcone that needed replaced. It was clearly more than that from the images, the dust on skirting boards, the chair was filthy, under beds had bottle tops so beds were never moved. I said to the girl with the darker hair up (bigger girl) we wouldn’t be back to stay in hotel dirty. Her response was “that’s fine then” never experienced such a rude member of staff. If that’s how your speak to guests she needs some customer service training. We won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend.
Great host and very helpfull
Too noisy early morning from the street , could do with a vacuum around the edges but other than that we'll worththe money
Great location, typical old Lakeland hotel....lovely staff and a decent breakfast
Nothing really that wasnt to be expected
The staff were all pleasant and helpful.
Bedroom was a good size.
Food was OK
Despite the bathroom being quite large the shower was a tiny cubicle. There was a lot of street noise that the window didn't block.
The place had lots of character, the staff were very friendly, spotlessly clean, big room with everything you need and the shower was very powerful, loved it.
Maybe the room could use a bit of a refresh, nothing too major, lick of paint, just a few little touches
Paid for breakfast was very good. Huge portion. Building in need of a serious upgrade. Bed was very comfortable but the room very dated. Bar prices and food very reasonable compared to other vendors in town.
Add on breakfast , decent price. Good size room , pet friendly.
